Thats sad,i submitted them on 31july and was expecting them to return soon but according to that seems its not gonna happen
Me too .. submitted on 31July via Aramex.

I have a hunch, people who submitted Passports via VFS gets it a tad bit earlier than people who couriered their Passports via Aramex or FedEx.

With the current trend .. i will have to wait, at least till end of next week.

A quick update: I submitted my passport at VFS Dubai today. The guy at the counter told me that it would take anything between 15 to 30 'working days' and as per recent trends people have been waiting for a month to get back their passports!! He said that if the application is for a visit/tourist visa then it is generally stamped and returned within a week, however, since in my case it is a PR visa and they have to prepare the CoPR document as well hence it takes longer. I also asked him if there is a way to fast track the stamping and he told me that they do it only for 'medical reasons'....I'm hoping for the best and shall keep you guys posted on the progress.

I am also very frustrated. Tomorrow will be day 21 for me. I too don't get what's taking so long. Ironcially stamping of the passport might take longer than my application did. lol

On the CIC website it says it takes 20 business days. Maybe that is the reason? If I don't hear anything by tomorrow I will call.
that's worrying as it means 30 days (only 5 business days per week)

If it takes 15-30 working days then that means that we might need to wait even after eid vaccation

Yes, a month seems like a lifetime, especially when you are parted with your passport

Precisely. And that is what worries me the most.

Hi,

I have submitted on 27 July 2017.

18th day and still counting.

Tried calling the Vfs guys but no response.

Seems like, it takes another week or two and overall time is a month roughly.

All the best.

Did anyone try contacting abudhabi vo on phone??
Well, I would say 30 business days is the worst case possible scenario so you should be able to receive your passport before Eid holidays I guess
