Just to clarify.

Anyone who gets a medical request who applied before Dec 2016 should be aware that they are at the end of the process and should be expecting PPR right after submitting the medical.

If you applied after Dec 2016 and you're getting a medical request, that does not mean you're at the end. It's just a step in the process. As the whole process changed in Dec 2016.

So those getting medical requests who applied in August and Sept 2016 make sure you let us know. Also let us know if you get asked for additional docs. We want to know that AVO is working.

Good luck everyone.

So u mean those who applied in February 2017 and has got the medical request shouldn't be expecting ppr any time soon?

I think everyone gets one when they apply. I think we have the same one from when we did TRV.
@becos when u apply for the TVR have u got accepted ?

Unfortunately no you should not be expecting it soon. It's a First In First Out process. The visa offices process (80%) of applicants in the order in which they applied. That's why we all pay so much attention to when each other applied because it matters which month AVO is working on. They finished July 2016 applicants a few months ago and have moved to August apps. They have also promised to process those of us who applied prior to Dec 2016 before Dec 2017. We all did medical stuff prior to our applications being submitted or at sponsor approval. And from a long experience on this forum and others it shows that for those who applied prior to Dec 2016, when their medical expired and they are asked for a new one they get PPR within the week if they complete their medical. Your applications will probably take fewer months then ours have but AVO still has to work in order and through the backlog. Hope that helps clarify things.
