Hi To Senior members:

I sponsored my wife from India, which was approved, in that letter they mentioned that I IMM5569 would have to be submitted within 30 days and that my wife will receive a message within 5 business days. Since my wifes paper application was linked I received a message stating that her medicals are required, but no message of the IMM5569. Questions:

  1. My wife will get the medical done, which will be submitted by the doctor. But how will they get the IMM5569, and where do I submit this, there is no upload document or anything on the application as of yet.
  2. Is it standard for health to come through first then background check document to be requested after? The letter states that the background information should be received no later than 30 days of my wife receiving the message to do so.
Could one of you kind people who have already gone through this process please advise.

Thank You.
hello
you will get an email from CIC asking for IMM5669 form and PCC together after the medical is recieved by them. you should get message about the medical exam passeed or not. you should confirm from your panel physician whether they have send your medical or not?

Hi Navpreet, thanks for the information. I have already sent the PCC with the application. So I guess it is strictly following the numbers itemized in the application status board. I did not know if I had to send this application in or what to do with it.

Thanks for the help.

Hi

I have just became Canadian PR one month ago. My girlfriend and I decided to marry just 3 weeks before my first landing in Canada, and so we planned our wedding after I returned. Now, after 3 months from that time, I have returned to my home country, and we are going to marry in next couple of weeks. So, I want to apply for her right after we formally married to join me and begin our new life together in Canada . I would appreciate it if you can help me with these questions:
1- Is the family sponsorship class the only way to apply for her, or as my immigration process has just been finalized by issuing my PR in less than a month ago, I can still add her to my immigration file?
2- As it is required for the sponsor in PR status to live in Canada, and I am currently returned to my home country to arrange the wedding ceremony, would it be mandatory for me to go to Canada first and apply for her afterward?
3- Could she enter Canada before the sponsorship application finalized? and if no, isn't it better to apply for a visitor visa for her at first and then apply through the inland spouse sponsorship program?

Thank you very much in advance,

Hi guys,
we got pcc and schedule a request today.

but they also have in the pdf - photo graph requests.

"Passport photos: Passport size photographs (photographs must conform to the specifications outlined in the Guide to Immigrating IMM 3999 and Appendix B Photo Specifications) For photo specifications, follow the instructions http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/pr-card/apply-photos.asp."

the specification in the link is different from the specification in the gc account? Anyone else got similar issue?

Hey Forum,

Thanks for all the help a few months ago. We submitted our forms and recently got the acknowledgment letter, along with a request for the 5669.

My toughest questions are about #6, the Personal History. I spent A LOT of my time in the last ten years working as a freelancer. Much of that work was completed online, but some of it was completed in various offices where I was employed. That leads to the following two queries:

1). Say that I had two or three steady employers over a five-year period but I was always freelancing for them on an ad hoc, project-by-project basis. I might work for one employer for six months, then stop for five months, then start again (on a different project, but same employer) for another four months. Meanwhile, I'm also working for another (freelance) employer. How the heck should I break this employment history up so that it doesn't raise eyebrows or generate extra questions at CIC?

2). During some of those freelancing gigs, I would take personal vacations. (As long as I had an internet connection, I could complete my work.) So I might have been technically working for an employer in Brooklyn, but actually completing the work while in India on personal travel. How best to represent this in the 5669?

Many, many thanks for any help you can provide!

From what i understand they dont really care where you worked just that you can account for all periods.

Hi everyone,

So I applied for my husband's sponsorship on 28 July. Cic received file on 30 July. It's been 3 weeks but we haven't heard from cic. Can anyone tell me how long does it take to get file number? I heard it was 2-4 weeks.

Please reply. I am not aware of current timeline.

Thanks very much!!!

2-8 weeks now. They've become quite backlogged and some applicant's are not seeing the acknowledgment of receipt for 8w.

To Members please help:

My wife received message in her linked account that she has a message. On checking the message she has been requested to upload the IMM5569E document online, and also to provide her birth certificate.
When we submitted the application a notorized copy of her Birth Certificate, was provided in the application package.

On the letter a date to submit has been provided and a deadline has been given.

On the account, there are two documents to upload. I know of upload of the IMM5569E document.

Would a scan of the original Birth Certificate and upload suffice? It says in the letter originals. If she has to mail the originals it will take her many weeks, and the deadline is in 3 weeks.

Has anyone exeprienced this, if you could please respond this it would be kind of all. This is urgent. I appreciate any help around this.

Regards

IMM5569E form not validating when in Personal History section Ongoing is selected. Anyone with this experience please respond. It is very frustrating.
