Hi guys!!

There is not good news yet, I called to CIC last week and the agent wasn't very helpful, he didn't even look for my application in the system. He told me what the website says about the processing time.
Anyways I sent my application the last week of May and I haven't received any email yet.
We have to keep waiting I guess.

Joeythecat, how do you know they received your fiancee's application? Did they send you an email or you know that from the courier?

Hi guys.

Lanina, if I may ask, did you receive an email regarding your application when you got the "in-process" status?

joeythecat and Lisaar, I am thinking, this might be due to Canada celebrating its 150 years, they processed a whole lot of citizenship applications, that is my guess why they havn't updated any other applications besides the ones for citizenship.

I just know they received it by the date from canadapost. We still have not got an email about it being in process.

I got both the acknowlegement of receipt April 3 and that they start processing the application April 27 in an email on May 5th.

I haven't seen anything there yet in my fiancées account. I keep trying to link the paper application, but it says there is no application... which means that they haven't opened it yet. We are still waiting.....

Joeythecat, it seems weird that anyone
Who sent the application in May hasn't got any email. I think we should keep calling them .
Did your fiancee apply under the LC old pathway? What option?

Lanina, did you link your application ( both of them) before or after you got the mail from CIC?
Only the PR application i found can be linked. Only after i got ecas emails could i do that. The work permit i have no clue and its not linking.

This week is 16weeks for OWP application timeline so i will call them next week. This is just awefull especially when your health card expires!!! Only God can move on the stoney heart of the system only God!!!! I felt really sick the other day and i like God who will stand up and shake up the gaps in the system?

Hi guys!

I just called CIC and they are working on applications received in May 15 . So we have to keep waiting. The agent said 3 or 4 more weeks to have any news.

Why cant they just hire a bunch of people and just clear up the backlog permanently.

She applied through the old pathway. I think what is happening is that there might have been an influx before the rules changed in Nov 2014, my fiancée got her lmia 1 month before the rules changed, now 2 years and a bit later everyone who got in before the change is all applying for PR. they prob have a big back log. I just want this over with so we can move on with our life and start a family together.

The most hurtful part of this process is they dont even deal with the open work permit in a timely manner either. So you run yourself into all sorts of problems. What they should give you is an indefinite visa until this whole nightmere get sorted out

They could clear the backlog if they wanted to because how can you be moving in a direction to increase immigration if you have no staff to manage the cases. That's unfair to the poor workers who cannot physically do the processing. So the Minister in Charge of CIC needs to do something
