yes, as long as you submitted an owp application, you don't have to wait for cic to give you a medical request.

this is what they replied when i asked them:
Medical exam form - In-Canada work permit application

If you need to undergo a medical examination before sending your work permit application, you can contact the closest Panel Physician for an upfront medical examination.

A Medical Exam Form (IMM 1017) is not required. Simply advise the doctor that you are applying for a work permit from inside Canada.
Thank you so much!

is there anyone got DM? or Landed? i can see huge amount of outlander done with their application? Why they process outland much faster than inland?

Hi Badi,

We submitted ours early Dec 2016 and got landed on June 27, but we're on the west coast.

I think that the outlands have an entirely different processing stream than inlands, and are partly processed by the staff who're in the Cdn embassies ... if you notice, each country has a different timeframe for processing. Inland might take longer but the spouse is in Cda, so at least the couple is together instead of living apart!

I know that spouses are in canada but there lots of stuff are depending on PR card for certain people, health wise, education wise, etc.
Plus as indicated by CIC now Inland and Outland processing is supposed to be done for 80% of the people withing 12 Months, and the face technical glitches and mycic, ecas not updating very often drive me crazy.

Hi there .

I have same as your case.
I applied on 23rd of May and got return 12nd of July.

They said I have miss imformation on imm5406.
I already fix my imm5406 file and wanna ask is it correct.

first what I sent imm 5406 , I just wrote my name and my husband name(sponsor) only. because I think only me apply immigration in my family than I got return .

so I tried to write my mother and father and brother name on it even they dont apply immigrate.

is it right What I write ? I would should written all my family mamber ?

regarding.
Hi serena0210. I was very confused about imm 5406 too. However after I browsed here and read the guide, I finally wrote down my husband, my father and mother, all my sister and brother, and you are right, those family members are not apply immigration with me. Don't forget to write down their name in your language beside their English name. That's what I understand. Good Luck!

Based on the Google sheet and what I read here i'm at around the time I should receive my OWP. Does it just arrive in the post or do you you find some online notification somewhere?

Thank You
Please how do I link up my OWP? Need help
I used the same tutorial @itsats mentioned to link my wife's OWP before I received it on mail, I didn't get any email or update, one day I tried to link it and it worked.

Thank You. I managed to link it but I used the UCI number and Family name option and managed to find it. It seems it has been issued as well a few days ago so i'm assuming/hoping th physical version is in the post :)

You're well within the timeframe still.

80% of applications to be done witihn 12 months is after December 7th, secondly outland has always been faster than inland applications. Not to worry though as you are still well within timeframe. CSQ means you're in Quebec so you're in one of the busiest offices along with Etobicoke but very likely you'll be done within a few months.
