Question about Processing

Hey everybody!!

I have a question... maybe a few questions.
So, I sent out my Husbands sponsorship application (I'm sponsoring him) on Friday (June 23, 2017) from the post office here in my town.
It was received TODAY (June 26, 2017) at 11am in the mailroom. (YAY!!)
I received a notice of delivery from Canada Post to my email at that time.

My question is, now that they have the application, when will they start the process?
Tomorrow? Next Week?

Is there a long delay between receiving the application and starting the process?

What do I do now?

Edit : Sorry I misread your msg. We can't say when they will start processing your file. Usually it takes 1week to 1,5 month.
Now you just have to wait for AOR1, which means everything is complete and the process has started

Excited for now lol. Eventually you will just want it over with. It's a pita !

Ive been away from the Philippines for 14 months... another 8 to 12 months is nothing. (Lived with my husband for 8 months before coming back to canada)
Both hubby and I are VERY patient people.

They received our application Jan. 5 and started processing the sponsor portion of the app Jan. 15. Be aware that they are super-busy at Mississauga right now. People are being notified of backlogs when they phone the call centre, so don't worry too much if it seems to take a while.

Im expecting to wait at least a week fir my AOR1.

How long was the processing of the sponsor portion for your application?

They started processing my portion of the application Jan. 15 and I got SA the second week of March. Many of the January applicants got it a lot quicker. I have no idea why mine took so long. If you click under my name, I have our timeline listed.
