At this point we cannot be sure of anything unfortunately! There is still possibility for 2 draws this month, hopefully! What is your CRS?

If you really want to go to Ontario I would suggest take that route, it's always good to have a back up plan.
My CRS is 411. I don't really want to go to Ontario but if the CRS score doesn't drop due to the gap in draws and 6th of June changes then I was thinking of keeping Ontario as backup. That way, it would at least give me an opportunity to enter Canada. What do you suggest?

Guys its me being optimistic here. June 21st is a holiday (aboriginal day) in many parts of Canada.
That perhaps is the reason for not having a draw.
Desperately hoping for a draw today or tomorrow.
That's absolutely right. Did none know about that? Shame on us aspirants!! We ought to know the statuary holidays.
I'm rejoicing again, as there will be a draw today!! 1000% sure now. Thanks @AtlmechE

But isn't that only observed in Northwest Territories? It is not a nationwide holiday.

I don't mean to discourage you (myself is also waiting for a draw), but aboriginal day is only honored in Northwestern Territories and Nunavut, not Ontario..

Well, can we presume that none of the Aboriginals work in the IRCC? Wouldn't it hurt the sentiment of such a diverse nation to not honour the basis of their existence, the aboriginals? IRCC could, and must, spare a day and refrain from conducting business, especially a significant one i.e. conducting a draw on such a prominent day.

What are my options?

Will be turning 37 this Aug.

My IELTS score is: R:9 L:8 W:7 S:7.
My CRS is 395. Does it make any sense for me to give 2nd attempt? Even if I score good points, I would still be losing 5 points due to my age

Improve IELTS to L8.5 / R 8 / S&W 7.5 will get you 12 points.
learn French over next 1 year & write TEF and secure CLB7 equivalent or above score
(R 207 & above W 310 & above L 249 & above S 310 & above)
if you are able to score as above in TEF ur score will go up by another 42 points (30 points for strong French ability recently introduced & 12 points as second official language)
---
if over next one year / six months u struggle really hard there is a scope of improving 54 points...
however,it is likely that the CRS cut off may come down to 385 levels within six months...only worry is the recent delay in conducting the 66th draw which is now certain to push the cut off to near 430 because of automatic additions of profiles on daily basis.
---
provincial nomination is another way...but documentation generally hard as Ontario requires every documents pertaining to each job u did in last 10 years ,though they have indicated they will start issuing nominations to ppl below 400 soon.....other regions nominations may be more friendly...there is a thread on provincial nomination programs..follow that as well..
--
1.Sit tight & improve IELTS ( 402)
2.Work hard to get CLB10 IELTS & CLB7 TEF (444)
3.wait for provincial nomination and prepare the documents.

Guys, you are all awesome last night. Sorry, I wasn't able to join you. I got sick because of sleepless nights in the last 3 weeks

Everyday is a refresh party for me. Who is joining? :D

of the planned 72000 PRs, ITAs issued this year till date is ~42000.assume 10% drop off on account of rejections/declines/ provincial nominations and that would leave the number at 37800.
that means there are another 34200 ITAs to be issued and factoring in potential rejections & declines,PNPs,they need to issue 10% extra to complete the planned 72000...so we are left with almost 42000 ITAs till December 31st.
Starting July that is 6 months / 12 draws @ 3500....
and the draws in June will reduce the required ITAs going forward to that extent.
Note that with average 3500 no of ITAs,the cut off had dropped by 6-7 points in the past and it is indicating that the new entrants to the pool are more at lower 400s than before...and it is likely to continue..6 months @ 5 points drop and we will be at cut off 383...from last draw...

Just breathe - remember how the world works - things you want sooooooo bad never seem to happen on our schedule. It will happen in due time that's for certain. Try to spend time on anything else that makes you happy and when your ITA finally comes, we shall all sing together and even have a virtual party :):) Let go and everything will fall into place - it will ... it always does :)
Thank you so much. You are seriously a light in the dark :)

That's really good.... but how do get 8 and 8.5 in listening and reading??
I really practice both listening and reading but still stuck at 6.6 and 6 :(
Am going to give IELTS another shot on 29th July, lets see....
Maybe you are trying too hard :) For reading do not read the entire paragraph. Just go through the questions quickly and start searching them. Practice TRUE/FALSE/NOT GIVEN and Headings for paragraphs alot. This is where most people lose marks. For listening practice maps alot and listen carefully. And finally have that confidence that you can do it :)
