ROFL. I can see her not being focussed. When you have nothing to speak you stammer. That is what she seems to be doing.

She doesn't seem to have the linguistic capabilities to do so. It's like someone just woke her up and told her "hey, citizenship is on, could you say something?"

Can you believe that she is the Opposition Critic for Immigration?! That means she is THE spokesperson of the CPC for Immigration matters. Like OMG they are doomed.

time to integrate? I'm on my 14th year and still not eligible. I'm also confident I'd do better on the english test than her, and the french

p.s. switching off my headphones until she sits down

They can't do anything I think, because the debate is only on the amendement and the thing that bothers them is terrorism. Plus NDP, Greens and Bloc side with the Liberals

hence why I decided I do not need to listen to this. I'm interested in the vote. not to completely rehash everything that's already been said, but I would like SOME credit for the 11 years I lived here (full time as an active member of society in every regard) before becoming a PR. that is my main interest with this bill.

Yeah I'll listen to the firsts two hours of the debate or so. No point in listening to all the rambling. This motion will pass the HoC anyways.

Stray observation: I like that the whole text of the amendment is running through the ticker. Super useful... not :)

my understanding is that right now they're going through the motions, talking etc, and then they'll vote and once agreed, it goes back to the senate, revised. then they have to decide if they will disagree and further amend it, or listen to the will of the MPs (i.e. the people) and send it to the GG for assent

edit: all I know is I can apply under the current rules in Jan 2018, so that's when this will be fully implemented ;)
