Thank you so much!! I want to apply inland so I can stay with my husband so I hoped there'd be a way to have them upfront. A bit unrelated, but what should I tell the customs officer at the airport? Should I show him my receipt and tell him I'm applying inland?

Just keep your mouth shut, en boca cerrada no entran moscos, if you are married just say you are in a family visit. I recommend you get a RETURN ticket to Mexico with in max 30 days, you can always change it, or get a refund if you don't use it but don't tell the officer you are going to STAY and apply for PR. Once you are settle in Canada sit down and fill inn your INLAND APPLICATION

Does anyone have the instructions on how to pay the RPRF? I know it's on here but I've been searching and can't find it.
I still don't like this new look

Keep requesting gcms notes and try to understand what's going on in your case.

Need to apply on behalf of the applicant and pay $5. There is a consent form that applicant needs to sign and send to Canadian sponsor, and then this is attached to the notes request.
These requests do show up in your file - and some say that they might affect processing.
I requested 3, and last one came on the same day as PPR.

I got an email from my MP office today saying they were “concerned” about the application to sponsor my husband, and therefore conducted additional research of IRCC’s website.

They contacted the Minister’s Division of IRCC and spoke with a Program Officer. they questioned the emailed response they initially received from IRCC and forwarded to me on May 18th, which appeared as if absolutely nothing had been done on the file since it was forwarded to Mexico in January. The Program Officer advised them that the computerized records had not been updated yet, but assured the file is in process. They were advised to contact IRCC again in mid-July.

So hopefully I will get good new from Miguel mid July !!!! ;)

Hi there,

I was wondering what the status on your GCKey account and ECAS was before you recieved your PPR. Thanks in advance

ECAS says DM
My CIC still says "in process": Medical passed, interview passed BAckgrand Check Not aplicable

Your visa(s) will expire on 2018/03/01. If the validity of your passport or the passport of any accompanying family member expires before this date, your visa will expire at this earlier date. If it is the case, that person may wish to apply for a new passport. Please note that you must travel to Canada within the validity of your visa.

We are looking forward to receiving your package within 30 days to conclude your application for permanent residence in Canada.

That 's all

I am so frustrated, my husband sent the Mexican PCC to lawyer last week and they were supposed to arrive "the latest" last Friday, so we could send all the documents to CIC, unfortunately UPS misplace our package and they haven't been able to locate it, husband called Tuesday and they say they will contact us with in 48hrs, so no news from them so husband just called today and they say we have to wait 4 days, this is absolutely insane, the Mexican certificates will expire on June 5 and not to mention they are already delaying our application because we haven't sent anything to immigration. Everything was going fast until UPS messed it up!:mad::mad::mad:

UPS tried to avoid us first saying the package was being held at customs, but since is just a couple of pieces of paper this has no logic, so they accepted that the documents were released on time from customs and that the package was missing after they received it al the warehouse.

No need to mention of your intend to apply inland if they don't ask don't tell. But make sure to show (if required) that you have enough reasons to go back to Mexico after your visit. A return ticket will do.

I hope I am part of that patch on MyCIC is showing:
Your application is in progress. The next step is to conduct a background check.

I just received an email today regarding the request for Federal Police Certificate (Constancia de Antecedentes Policiales). I had sent a scanned copy as my Wife was having issues getting the translation certified and Easter Week meant a whole week of not getting it done.

This is what they said:

Sir/Madam,

This is in response to your email received on 07 April 2017.

Our office received the documents you submitted. Your application is in process. At the moment, there is no need for further action on your part.

Our office will contact you should we require additional information or documents.

Thank you for keeping your correspondence to a minimum.

Regards | Cordialement,

(Miguel lol)

So it was sufficient to just send scan copies. Wish I new that off that bat.

I sent a request for GCMS notes today.

My background check is still saying next step is a background check. Since April 12th they have acknowledged my wife's "Antecedentes Policiales". Was going to wait for the full 6 months which would be about June 5th but couldn't wait any longer.

I've already paid the RPRF on March 22nd.

Did they request for you to pay the RPRF or did you just pay it?
I still am not able to link app to mycic. It makes me crazy but at least I have ecas to see something at least.

Just a quick update. For those of you who are at or approaching the AOR2 stage, I did get an actual email from the Mexican embassy (Miguel) today saying our app was received at their office. We saw the message "We started processing your application on May 4" in eCAS, so it took them 3 weeks to send the official email to say they opened our file. As it takes such a long time for them to actually open the file after transfer to VO (for us it was 7.5 weeks but sooner if you are not unlucky like us because I saw others have their status change after 4 weeks or so) and then obviously another long wait for them to email you. I would say check your eCAS often as it seems it takes them forever to update you by email, if you don't already know this. Under messages in our GCKey account, we also saw that they added this letter to the account. There was nothing else significant in the 3 page letter they sent us, only to outline what would happen if we were asked for an interview, things to prepare for should the PA receive a visa, how to send information/docs to the embassy and to not ask for status updates as they get "thousands of applications" to review.

That so the same letter we got last Thursday. And ecas said they started processing the application March 28th. So it took almost 2 months for us to get the official letter.
Have they asked you to pay the RPRF fee yet? We didn't get anything either however, we just went and paid it and sent confirmation since it seems to take so long for all the steps along the way.

Wow! Are you serious that you only got that letter 2 months after you saw your status change? I thought 3 weeks was bad, but 2 months later, that is crazy! Better late than never?!

We haven't received a request to pay the RPRF fee. We actually paid everything upfront. So I am not sure if they will be asking us for that.
They still haven't asked us for our Canadian police report. I am not sure what is happening with our background check as it has been in progress since the beginning of March. Other people said that they started processing the background check in Mississauga first, but I don't know what exactly they check there (our Schedule A info and the PCC info from Chile I assume). Still waiting to hear something ..... I only know that they will have to contact us before the end of July because my partner's medical results expire at the end of that month.

Yep serious lol. Letter in the email was dated May 18th and we got the email that day too. It makes me scared since that seems painfully slow. But at least it's some communication I guess
