Next thing you will hear is ppr! Background checks takes 1-3 months, you must be really close of getting PPR.

I believe PPR'S come in batches so they might be waiting for enough people to reach that level!

I hope I am part of that patch on MyCIC is showing:
Your application is in progress. The next step is to conduct a background check.

I just received an email today regarding the request for Federal Police Certificate (Constancia de Antecedentes Policiales). I had sent a scanned copy as my Wife was having issues getting the translation certified and Easter Week meant a whole week of not getting it done.

This is what they said:

Sir/Madam,

This is in response to your email received on 07 April 2017.

Our office received the documents you submitted. Your application is in process. At the moment, there is no need for further action on your part.

Our office will contact you should we require additional information or documents.

Thank you for keeping your correspondence to a minimum.

Regards | Cordialement,

(Miguel lol)

So it was sufficient to just send scan copies. Wish I new that off that bat.

Two countries - Mexico and Canada. They gave an overly generous 120 day window to provide them and I guess that played to our detriment. in GCMS the due date for next review was set to around 130 days days from request date. However that date, Apr 10, passed without any news.

Wow... You should be getting PPR soon but I'm surprise you haven't heard from them in so long. You are right in the average of 8 months. You are an July-August 2016 applicant and most of us here are Nov-December 2016-2017, looks like we all have a long way to go haha.

Wow, that is just insane (120 days is 4 months :o). I also see that it took 3 months after SA/File transfer for you to get AOR2. I am only at one month after SA now. Guess it might take until the middle of June before I hear anything. Damn Mexico VO!
