Hi Raj and Stanlee,

Need your help. Could you please guide on this point?

My spouse is the primary applicant and is a FSW candidate in the express entry with 434 CRS. She completed her education in 2002. She started working since then. Initially, she was not with the established and branded enterprises. She received her first major break in November 2004 (11/2004). In her resume, we are showing her employment from 11/2004 onwards.

In express entry profile, we have shown only two of her experiences. We have the all the documents related to these two which are listed below

1. ABC company from 11/2004 to 07/2008
2. XYZ company from 07/2008 to 08/2013

From 08/2013 to 08/2015, she was unemployed.

Again, she started working from 09/2015 till date with DEF company. She will be in job till 01/2017, as she is serving her notice period. The details of this job is not captured in EE profile.

I need your guidance on, shall we modify her EE profile and add the present job with DEF company and remove the details of ABC company?

DEF company provides her total of 17 months experience with 40 hours of work in a week and XYZ company provides her total of 60 months of experience with 45 hours of work in a week.

We continue to qualify with 77 points for six selection factors for FSW and 1 year work experience for the OINP human capital experience in last five years.

Later on, when we receive the ITA, we will include all the employment in the personal history section with LOE that we didnt claim any points for earlier employments.

Please share your views.

Thank you,
Pawshi

Hi Raj and others,

My Canadian experience points kicked in as the system thinks I completed a year but in reality I haven't (I have like 47 full weeks). I started my current job at the end of January... So I have additional Canadian experience points that I probably shouldn't have for several other weeks. What do I do if I get ITA next draw?

Merci.

So It seems I'll need to wait till January to accept an ITA.

I wonder if I should delete all my work experience and see if I get an ITA with 461 points in mean time :p

Hey guys, so following is my "proof of work experience" letter from my employer. Please let me know if the following is good enough and if not, then what needs to be added to it to make it work for me.

-------------------------------------------------
To whomsoever it may concern

This is to certify that XXX has been working for XXX on an independent contract worker basis from 2nd may 2016. His role is of Business development Associate. His responsibilities in this role include, A) finding prospects for the company's plans, B) Arrange meeting between potential clients and the company managers, C) doing extensive market research. He works an average of 25 hours a week and we are happy with his quality of work.
manager,
XXX
---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Does this seem enough to be counted or what am i missing? :-\

Thanks Fizar. I'm just trying to find out if the term "independent contract worker" is an issue or not in my case. Lets see what DelPiero and RajKamal say about this.

It all depends on your relationship with your employer, if you were self-employed you might be in trouble:

http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/independent-contractor-canadian-work-experience-t393220.0.html
http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/is-independent-contractor-full-time-work-experience-for-a-company-t279978.0.html

If you were an employee you have to prove that as I "independent contractor" might raise red flags. Make sure you have a T4 (not T4A) and other proof of employment.

Regarding your reference letter I do not think those duties and responsibilities are sufficient. They seem too broad and too few for me, I reckon you have to be more specific to match it to your chosen NOC. Also, salary is missing.

Cheers :)

Thanks! Makes sense. I'll see what can to done to improve this.

BTW, does working for your inc-operated company also count as self employment? I was doing both during the same time period and i'm trying to see what can be useful wrt points.

Hello all, I have a question for you!

So, I am currently waiting for an ITA, I have 478 points, which is okay and I should theoretically make the cut soon, but we never know (especially with the new changes, we don't know how that's going to turn out)

therefore, I would be interested in applying for a "mobilité francophone" temporary work permit (very easy and fast to get for french-speaking applicants, LMIA-exempt, so 50 more points for me)

My question is this:
If I am invited for PR and I submit my application, can I also continue with my application for the mobilité francophone temp work permit at the same time? I would like to get this "mob francophone" temp work permit anyway because that means I would have to ask for a bridge visa (my current one will end before getting a PR)

thanks a lot!

I have received my GCMS notes, it appears I have met R10 and A11.2, however, still not clear whether proof of funds have been met as per these notes. Kindly help me on this. I see there is a comment which says proof of funds on file: Yes, but not sure that means I have met that requirements.

Guys, if we have already got WES assesment done & got evaluated as "Master's Degree", Do we still need to mention about Secondary & higher Secondary details ?

I think it is implicit that we already did it. Isnt it ?

No, you can mention those once you receive your ITA in the personal history section.

Mention only your masters in the education section as it is your highest credential.

Cheers :)

Thanks delpiero07. But with my consience, i have mentioned both my bachelors degree & masters degree both which I got evaluated from WES aa well. And even they didnt asked about secondary & higher secondary details.

So with the same logic, I thought of only mentioning about both of them in my profile.
