Hi all, today I got an ITA and I wanted to check if the following documents are valid.

Background: Came to Canada on a Working Visa in July 2014. Since then have been working and travelling inside Canada only. I have never left Canada since I arrived. I'm also an Australian citizen.

Document 1: Australian National Police Certificate

Mentions the following:

1) My name
2) My parents Australian Address (presumably I guess they can only send to Australian address)
3) Dated: 7 October 2015

Document 2: Electronic Medical Report (done in Toronto)

Dated: 6 October 2015

Are there any issues anyone can see with either of these documents? Are they still valid?

Thanks for all replies.

Thank you.

What things should I need to write at the back of the photographs?
Please refer the application guide once. All the details are available there.

Page 14 of the application guide says this -

Your name and date of birth must be written on the back of each photo.

Before asking further questions, please give the guide a read!

Marriage certificate along with a name change affidavit will do, IMO!

hi Raj and Asivad,

Need some enlightenment please. Below is the summary of my employment.

All three will fall under one NOC - 6232 Real estate agents and salespersons
Real estate agents and salespersons act as agents for the sale or purchase of houses, apartments, commercial buildings, land and other real estate and are employed in the real estate industry.

Job 1 - 2 years - commission-based with allowance
Job 2- 10mos - salaried plus commissions
-3month gap because of non solicitation-
Job 3 - 6mos - salaried plus commissions

It is specifically mentioned in the NOC description that "Real estate agents and salespersons normally work on a commission basis."

Just wanna make sure that even if there's a 3-month gap between Jobs 2 and 3, and Job 1 is purely on a commission basis, they would add up and be considered as 3++ years of experience under one NOC.

I'm assuming all these jobs were in the past 10 years!

IMO, you have satisfied the minimum requirement of 1 year continuous employment in Job 1. Further, since the verbiage on the HRSDC website says "Real estate agents and salespersons normally work on a commission basis", I believe Job 1 is perfectly fine and you can combine the experience of all the three jobs.

You need to get three letters of reference though - One for each job. The roles and responsibilities that are provided on your reference letter should match the NOC that you are opting.

Link to the expected roles and responsibilities ---> http://www5.hrsdc.gc.ca/NOC/English/NOC/2011/ProfileQuickSearch.aspx?val=6&val1=6232&val65=*

noted! i guess i would just have to provide additional information or LOE since job 1 is focused on selling just one residential brand. it says on the link that
"Real estate agents and salespersons may specialize in residential, commercial, industrial/institutional or rural real estate sales."

so I guess it would be acceptable.

thank you for your invaluable inputs and advices. going through major decisions and evaluations like this can be really nerve-wracking. just like what most people here have said, your posts put some cohesion on all these scattered information.

wishing you all the best and thanks for spreading this pay-it-forward kind of attitude. it's contagious you know. ;D

Yes, I believe that is acceptable. Just make sure our reference letters are complete - Check this link out to see what has to be there on the reference letter --> http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/perm/express/intake-complete.asp

Happy top help! Good luck!

This post, I believe would clear some confusion about 2 or more degrees.

CABA said:
Hi,

My ECA reads somewhat like this

Canadian Equivalency Summary - Bachelor's Degree (4years)

Credential Analysis 1 - Bachelor's degree (4 years)
Credential Analysis 2 - Bachelor's degree (3 years)

What should I choose while submitting Education Section? "Two or more degrees" or "Bachelor's degree"

What is the relevance of Summary section in ECA report?
Yes, you CAN choose 2 or more degrees. I'd like to explain this a bit because there is a LOT of confusion surrounding this.

This is what is mentioned on the CIC site -
Two or more certificates, diplomas, or degrees

Important notice: One must be for a program of three or more years.

ECA assessment results:

>>A three-year or more certificate, diploma, or degree

PLUS any of the results in the sections below (not including secondary/high school), OR:

Post-Bachelor's Certificate
Post-undergraduate certificate
Post-Bachelor's Diploma
Post-undergraduate diploma
Graduate Certificate
Graduate Certificate with a focus in [area of concentration]
Postgraduate certificate
Postgraduate Diploma
Graduate Diploma with a focus in [area of concentration]
Graduate diploma
two-year Postgraduate Diploma, specializing in [name of discipline]
two-year Bachelor’s after degree with a focus in [area of concentration]
one-year Postgraduate Certificate in [name of discipline]
one-year of graduate study with a focus in [area of concentration]
Study Toward a Master's Degree

>> Bachelor’s degree or other programs (three or more years) at a university, college, trade or technical school, or other institute
>> Two-year degree, diploma or certificate from a program at a university, college, trade or technical school, or other institute
>> One-year degree, diploma or certificate from a program at a university, college, trade or technical school, or other institute
>> Secondary school (high school diploma)
here's the link - http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/eca-conversion.asp

People have completely missed to notice the "PLUS any of the results in the sections below (not including secondary/high school)" clause. See, what that sentence means is - If you have 2 credentials AND one of them is at least 3 years long, then you could choose 2 or more degrees if the second credential is ANYTHING THAT IS AVAILABLE BELOW THIS SECTION (which includes all the below -

OR

The any one from the list that is provided under the "2 or more degrees section" -

Post-Bachelor's Certificate
Post-undergraduate certificate
Post-Bachelor's Diploma
Post-undergraduate diploma
Graduate Certificate
Graduate Certificate with a focus in [area of concentration]
Postgraduate certificate
Postgraduate Diploma
Graduate Diploma with a focus in [area of concentration]
Graduate diploma
two-year Postgraduate Diploma, specializing in [name of discipline]
two-year Bachelor’s after degree with a focus in [area of concentration]
one-year Postgraduate Certificate in [name of discipline]
one-year of graduate study with a focus in [area of concentration]
Study Toward a Master's Degree

In conclusion, as long as you have a 3 year degree AND your second degree/diploma has been evaluated to any of the following, you CAN choose 2 or more degrees.

College Diploma (three years)
Diploma (three years)
Three-year diploma in [name of discipline]
Three-year advanced diploma
Bachelor's Degree
Applied Bachelor's Degree
Bachelor's degree (three years)
Three-year Bachelor's degree, specializing in [name of discipline]
Three-year Bachelor degree
Bachelor's degree (four years)
Four-year Bachelor's degree, specializing in [name of discipline]
Four-year Bachelor degree
Three-year post-secondary Diploma with a focus in [area of concentration]
Bachelor’s degree with a focus in [area of concentration]
Applied Bachelor’s degree with a focus in [area of concentration]
Bachelor of Technology degree with a focus in [area of concentration]
Three-year Bachelor’s degree with a focus in [area of concentration]
Four-year Bachelor’s degree with a focus in [area of concentration]
College Diploma
College Diploma (two years)
Diploma (two years)
Two-year diploma
Two-year diploma in [name of discipline]
Secondary school diploma and diploma (two years)
Associate Degree
Associate of [Arts/Science] degree
Post-secondary Diploma with a focus in [area of concentration]
Two-year post-secondary Diploma with a focus in [area of concentration]
Two-year associate degree
College Certificate
Completion of College-level certificate
University Certificate
University Diploma
One-year certificate in [name of discipline]
Post-secondary certificate with a focus in [area of concentration]
One-year Post-secondary certificate with a focus in [area of concentration]
One-year certificate
Post-Bachelor's Certificate
Post-undergraduate certificate
Post-Bachelor's Diploma
Post-undergraduate diploma
Graduate Certificate
Graduate Certificate with a focus in [area of concentration]
Postgraduate certificate
Postgraduate Diploma
Graduate Diploma with a focus in [area of concentration]
Graduate diploma
two-year Postgraduate Diploma, specializing in [name of discipline]
two-year Bachelor’s after degree with a focus in [area of concentration]
one-year Postgraduate Certificate in [name of discipline]
one-year of graduate study with a focus in [area of concentration]
Study Toward a Master's Degree

I was scrutinizing this a few minutes back and that PLUS any of the results in the sections below (not including secondary/high school) caught my attention and it made all the difference.

Please share this post to people who have doubts about choosing 2 or more degrees when they have 2 credentials that has both been evaluated to Bachelor's degree.

Yes, more or less, you have to provide the same documentation to CIC again after you get ITA (there might be a few minor changes).
