jaja gracias -it only took 15 tries lol.

I am so annoyed right now and need to rant. How can sponsorship approval possible be taking three months right now?! This is crazy. I mean, people actually have to put their whole lives, dreams, goals on hold for this little piece of paper. I feel like we have been waiting forever when it reality its only been 3 weeks :( I really hope the waiting times go down because this is just awful! :(

It's hard. I wish they would just explain why it's taking so long. I'm close to approval and yet I still feel so far from the PR after already waiting 3 months. It bites.

My friend a few years ago did her sponsorship application for her spouse and it only took 15 days for sponsorship approval! :/ I really would like to know whats happening too... Hopefully you get approval this week Canadiangirl!

15 days - nice!!

Thanks. I hope do too. But then it seems like I'll have to wait 3.5 months to hear from Mexico!! I want to go to Canada already!!

I feel like I wait and wait and wait until I get so frustrated and impatient and think that I will never hear from them, and then wait and wait some more until I stop thinking about it...and then when I least expect it I hear something! lol! :P

I agree Nessa. That is what happened to me too! I know the waiting is so hard for all of us but, at the risk of sounding cliche, it will be worth it in the end. Once we receive that letter asking for the passport, all of the waiting in the past won't matter any more. I keep envisioning how I will feel once I get that letter. It always puts a big smile on my face and butterfiles in my stomach. And then I imagine how I will feel when I pick my hubby up at the airport once he comes to Canada (more butterflies ;D). At this point, these anticipated feelings are all that I have to keep me going. It will happen sooner or later for us all. We just need to keep hope alive!

Welcome to reality.... I've been dealing with this immigration thing since October 2009.
My theory is that the budget cuts and the whole restructuring from Mr. Kenney has to do with the Sponsorship approval taking so long. (closing visa offices, transferring files, sending back all Skilled worker applications sent before 2008, etc.)

On another note, I still don't have the damn PGR letter, it's been two weeks and sometimes I wonder why I gave them a prepaid envelope, but it's late and I should go to bed instead of being here complaining.

Mine took a month and a few days to get here! To Veracruz!!! It would have gone faster if I walked there to get it personally! ughh! Sending things through correo de mexico is like torture! >:(

Why did it take so long for them to give you approval?

Also how long did it take you to hear from Mexico after approval?

It is not the initila approval, that was done in November, this is after the constancia submission.

I honestly dont know how you do it. I am feeling a bit better after my rant of yesterday, but still feeling sad. Hopefully you get your letter soon!
