Non-Complex + BF Date → How long until P1? (2023Protected Person )

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for applicants with a similar GCMS timeline to compare experiences.

My timeline
  • Protected Person PR: September 2023
  • Primary Office: CPC Mississauga
  • Secondary Office: Montreal
  • ✅ Non-Complex Processing Assessment
  • ✅ Eligibility: Passed
  • ✅ Criminality: Passed
  • ✅ Medical: Passed
  • Info Sharing: In Progress
  • Security: Officer note says “In Progress”
  • BF Date: 15 August 2026
  • ❌ No Review Required
  • ❌ No ADR after biometrics
If your case was similar, could you please reply with just these 4 things?

  1. Application month
  2. Non-Complex Assessment: Yes / No
  3. BF Date (if any)
  4. How long after your BF Date (or Non-Complex Assessment) did you receive P1?
Even one similar timeline would really help.

I’m also happy to share my complete GCMS timeline if it helps others compare their cases.

Thank you very much!
Do you have any update about your case?

Text: ***Protected Persons Non-Complex Processing Assessment***
This is my last note,
After additional document submitted
what is the date of this note? and how long does final decision take after this note?

I don’t see mine. Your security started or not? I mean we can only see if it’s started that it is non complex or not ?
As far as I understand, when they initiate the security check, they conduct one final eligibility assessment and add a note to the file. This might be the "Stage 2 eligibility assessment." The most recent note states: "protected persons processing – non-complex processing assessment."

And below that:
Eligibility: passed
Security: in progress
Biometrics: passed
Criminality: passed
Medicals: passed – exempt

As I understand it, at this stage they are completing a final eligibility assessment and are now waiting for the security clearance to be completed. Once the security clearance is granted, a final decision is issued.

I mean it shows non complex only when started? Because mine not started that’s why may be I can’t see
It's a good sign if it shows not started it could finish anytime soon!!! Also it means you're not in comprehensive security. We saw 2 final decisions this week I would say it can happen very soon for you as well.

Applied on April 2023 but nothing till now. 3 months ago after all these years they sent my file for comprehensive background check to CBSA. Secoundry office also changed to Montreal, applied and live in Ontario.
After fucking 43 months now notes show security in progress, it means they have not done anything for the past few years and unlucky guys like me and our applications was getting dust somewhere for nothing.
My work permit expired almost a year ago and I didn't extend it because I was sure my pr was coming soon but nothing..... If I apply for extension now will I get a email to find a new job while waiting for work permit extension or I've to wait for God knows how many months for them to extend my wp for me to find work? If anyone experienced something like this please advise.

what is the your full timeline?
when did you see non-complex note? and when did you get final decision?
Applied August 2023. You can see the complex or non-complex screening on your GCMS notes. I have no dependent, no military history and no weird travel history. I submitted additional docs they requested on June 16 and my MP followed up with the officer and they said security started June 21st I think! Got my fd this Saturday and P1 yesterday
