PR Card Renewal - 2026 August

Pr card renewal application submitted on 13th september. Ircc portal shows application submitted only since then. Today i was trying to link application with gckey and i was able to link it but found my application there which was about my first PR card. Can anyone tell how to link new application??

After receiving the rejection reason and note on your JSON, how long did it take for you to receive a request to submit a new photo?

Last update is on Aug 4 . Picture Rejection letter I received on Aug 12.

Same steps, however any application can only be linked when the processing starts. Right now applications submitted around 26-27 August are being processed. You will have to wait accordingly and try to link then. Best luck.

That is why json is not reliable. The status 20 just means your application has been picked up for processing and that is why you are able to link. You can keep an eye on email, just in case anything is needed by IRCC. Else, your card will be mailed and status will be upated on the linked application. Good luck

25/08/2026 - Submitted urgent application.
02/10/2026 - Status ID changed to 20.

It is a more complex case. I had a PRTD approved under H&C grounds due to not meeting RO by nearly 10 years lol. However, today the status ID changed to 20 so keeping my fingers crossed it is good news and I get the card soon!

Update: Called IRCC today and confirmed application was approved and card was shipped yesterday 07/10/2026!

On my application
Submitted: Aug24 (actually resubmitted after being returned for photo)
JSON: Oct 1 (I followed instruction and found status completed updated on Oct 1)
But the official status is still Submitted, cannot check status via IRCC tracking. Called IRCC agent and he said still under review.
Should I contact MP to ask IRCC for update?
I would like to take flight on Oct 16 - is there good chance to make it?

Curious to know, when application was returned, were you asked to refill all sections ? or just photo and declaration ?

Having said what I mentioned, I think having status 20 might just be good sign. You were able to link application, should be sent out to you soon.

Hi , application of 3 (including me) submitted on 26-Aug, sent webform on 01-Oct got response on 04-oct . on 06-Oct 2 member's status changed to 20 on Json but mine still showing at 16 , called IRCC they are sayig it's still under completeness check but we have told agent as the application went beyond processign time.


any suggestion ?
