Hello Community..

I hope you are all doing great.

I am happy to read that so many of us, 2025 applicants, either have received their PR or have received significant updates. I pray that all the applications will be finalized soon.

IRCC have been doing great over the past few months, diligently working to clear this backlog. I pray that they will accelerate their efforts to clear this backlog and accelerate the reunification with our families for all protected persons inside and outside Quebec.

Below is my PR application timeline:
Aug 13, 2025: Application submitted.
Oct 26, 2025 received temporary AOR with XG.
Apr 12, 2026, received AOR with G.
Apr 17, 2026: ADL received for dependents outside Canada.
Jun 2026: Another ADL received in and a reminder in Jul 2026.
Jul 29, 2026: BIL received.
Aug 13, 2026: BIL completed.
Sep 15, 2026: PAL (Form IMM5801) received (sent by IRCC, no specific office).
Sep 17, 2026: Eligibility letter received (sent by Case Processing Centre Mississauga).
Sep 22, 2026: Email from the outside Canada Visa Office sent to my spouse and to me (being the representative) to provide certain forms again and proof of payment of biometrics along with Head Of Family form (to be filled by me).

I have 3 questions please:

1. In the eligibility letter received from Case Processing Centre Mississauga, my eldest child was listed as accompanying. In the PR application, I put the child as non-accompanying due to age limit (was 21 years 11 months when I submitted the refugee claim).

Is it possible that the child was listed by IRCC as accompanying by mistake? Or is it possible that IRCC agreed to include my child as an accompanying dependent although the child was 11 months older than 21 so that the child would not be left alone?

2. Replying to the email sent by the visa office, should I re-submit the same forms? Practically, no changes to these forms except the travel history.

3. Is receiving this request from the visa office outside Canada for my dependents a good sign that my PR application have been approved? I have not received FD yet on the GCKey account.

Thank you all..
For your eldest child, the important date is the age lock-in date for the refugee claim. If the child was 21 years 11 months when the claim was received and was unmarried, they may still qualify as a dependent because the age is locked in at that point.
You should send the requested forms again and update only anything that has changed, such as travel history. Make sure everything is consistent with the current information. Hopefully the next step will be the final decision. Good luck!

I need your advise please.
Is the fact that my GCMS notes i ordered for my application days cost outstanding the reason for delay in processing? I paid everything during application. Right of permanent residence fees says complete but there is a part that says cost outstanding. I dont know what it means and what actions I should take

* April 30, 2024: Protected Person principal applicant fee increased from $570 to $635.
* April 30, 2026: it increased again from $635 to $660.
* Biometrics are separate: currently $85 per person, or up to $170 for a family applying together.

Even if you are exempt from a particular fee, if you paid it by mistake, IRCC can refund the amount once the exemption is applied. you normally don't need to request the refund.

In fact, if this is a Protected Person PR application, the RPRF does not apply to protected persons. IRCC specifically lists protected persons as exempt from the Right of Permanent Residence Fee.
Yes its a protected persons PR application. I paid all the fees that I was required to pay and I dont understand why the notes say cost is outstanding

Quick question guys do we have to pay for biometrics while applying online? I only paid the 635$ as i was told i dont have to pay for biometrics now, i still haven’t recieved my aor yet oct 2025 applicant.

Since you applied in October 2025, the $635 fee was the correct amount at that time.

I think you should have paid for biometric as well. If I'm not mistaken someone here did not receive his G number because he did not pay his biometric fee

Since you’re a Protected Person applicant, the RPRF is not required. If it was paid, IRCC should refund the RPRF once the exemption is applied.

I think me and you have the same problem. I paid a total of 1070 cause I have two dependents. I haven't received AOR yet and I applied in August. My gcms notes says cost outstanding. I will call them tomorrow and find out what that means and if there's anything I need to do

In my mind 1070 is enough to take care of two minors and processing fee of 635. They probably didn't match my receipt to my application cause I don't think I have anything outstanding

If you have the payment receipts, keep them and consider contacting IRCC through the webform to confirm whether anything is actually outstanding.

I haven’t received my BIL because i didn’t pay for my biometric, i had a call with the agent and was advised to pay the biometric fee, and so i did. Im exactly like you paid for the application only and didn’t know that there is a biometric fee.
