I already received my final decision for my application inside Canada. I have dependant outside Canada.

How to calculate the processing time for our dependant outside Canada. Is it day we filed our application and submitted to IRCC inside Canada or the day we passed eligibility and our dependants file was transferred to VO outside Canada ?

I filled my application on November 2023 with my dependant outside Canada, I received my final decision this week. On February 2025 the CPC-Mississauga transferred my dependant’s file to VO outside Canada. When is the processing starts ? The time we filed our application or the day it was transferred to VO ?

We have no news from February 2025 (other than requested updated forms) no medical no pre-arrival yet for my dependant.

Most depends abroad get final decision after primary gets ecopr between 6 to 12 months

Given the 1 time policy the time for dependents to get PR is likely to increase quite a bit because a large volume of dependents will enter processing at the same time but the quota hasn’t increased for dependents.

There seems to be conflicting information that the dependents outside of Canada will be counted under the 130k quota. I had read they weren’t but it actually seems quite unclear whether they are or aren’t. The justification for the program was the people were already in Canada.

I already received my final decision, I'm inside Canada (Principal Applicant) but no P1 or P2 yet. I have dependants outside Canada but the Eligibility is still in progress. Is my dependants assessment causing my CoPR being delayed ?

Will IRCC issue my CoPR even my dependants hasn't passed eligibility yet ? Thank you.

My dependents haven’t even started their application and I have my Ecopr. IRCC treats both applications independently. Your overseas dependents applications will be handled by the canadian embassy in that country.

You were likely part of the pilot program for this timeline and the 1 time policy also helped. Please don’t make people think that prayer had anything to do with IRCC approval times and that their faith hasn’t been able to secure immigration for their dependents in a certain timeframe.
