I received biometrics request early March then received the dna request on May 7th. Haven’t heard anything after that. I’ll seen a request to the panel physician for upfront medical. I didn’t know it was ok to do that for refugees
The pre-arrival letters are very confusing to people and I wish they would change the name. Pre-arrival letters have nothing to do with when you might actually get PR. It is a procedural step after eligibility.
I was very confused when I received my Pre-Arrival Services Letter. When I searched online, most of the information was about skilled immigrants and people preparing to come to Canada from abroad. Since I was already living in Canada, I thought the letter did not apply to me. Later, I learned that IRCC may issue the same letter to inland applicants as part of the PR process. The name is misleading because it makes people think it is only for people arriving in Canada, when in reality it can also be sent to applicants who are already here.
All panel physicians do upfront Medicals
All you need is your UCI number and passport.
Medicals is Medicals , whether upfront or after it’s requested it’s same thing
It just saves the time of waiting between when it requested untill you get it done
My home country only has two approved panel physicians
So appointments are not easy to get .
I choosed upfront to avoid delays of waiting for a slot after it’s requested
That VO tends to have longer processing times. As someone has already pointed out there is no timeline between Prearrival and PPR it really depends on the backlog at that VO and the approval quota for that month or quarter (not sure how the quota is allocated). All you can do is wait your turn if all the information has been submitted. You’re very lucky your parents had their supervisa approved if you are a protected person although that still doesn’t guarantee entry into Canada. Your approval must have been unrelated to country conditions.
Well next time LOL now they already gave medical, now just waiting for the passport request, hopefully wont take long, it has passed more than one month. Keep waiting.
All clinics request for imei , but
When you mention it’s upfront, they know exactly what to do
All was done out of Canada.
Did it for my baby and for parents supervisa and my parents have their supervisa already.
You don’t have to do it that way , but it’s possible everywhere.
