Do you live in Quebec when you apply for permanent residency through Quebec?I just got my P2.
Did you apply through Quebec or through the federal immigration program? There are a bunch of people from the forum that I’m in touch with, out of here. applied from April 2023 to late August 2023. None of them has received FD yet. I’ve no idea what’s happening in IRCC
None, from Ontario. No dependents, no complicated travel historyDid you apply through Quebec or through the federal immigration program?
I applied for PR through Quebec in March 2023 and still haven't received any updates. From what I've seen, Quebec PR applications are taking around 45 months to process.

One of my friends got his PR after 33 months, and he now lives in Toronto. Did you request (officer's) notes?None, from Ontario. No dependents, no complicated travel history
GCKey details won't work here. The PR Portal requires its own login. Try resetting your password using the email address that received the P2 email.Same just got P2 this morning
Does anyone know if i have to creat an account for the portal ?
In the email it says use existing details to sign in. Is that the same log in details as the Gckey or do i have to creat an account
Honestly, if getting your PR quickly is your main priority, I’d strongly advise moving out of Quebec—and I’m sure you’re already well aware of how frustrating the situation is there. The processing times are painfully slow right now because of strict provincial quotas, and I honestly don't expect things to improve over the next 5 years unless a miracle happens.Did you apply through Quebec or through the federal immigration program?

Honestly, I'm currently studying at a university in Quebec. I could transfer my courses to another university in Toronto, but my grant and scholarship are from Quebec, so I can't move right now. My PR application has been stuck in the security check stage for the past three years, and I'm worried that moving to Toronto now could cause issues with my application.Honestly, if getting your PR quickly is your main priority, I’d strongly advise moving out of Quebec—and I’m sure you’re already well aware of how frustrating the situation is there. Protected persons in other provinces are getting approved so much faster—many within a year or two—while people in Quebec are stuck waiting for years with no updates. Unless you have a really strong reason to stay, don't waste your time waiting there.
