2025 PR Application Timeline (Protected Person)

Applied in August. Just XG number no AOR yet. Interestingly an inquiry through mp says criminality check in progress. That was two months ago and still no AOR. From this and other orums I see people who applied in June and July are already receiving their AOR. Our time will come soon.

I hope so man, it’s been 9 months without AOR, its just unfair at this point, people from 2023 still waiting, 2024 getting their PRs, early applications from 2025 got their AOR, eligibility and everything, there is no fair processing and its getting worse.

I think they started implementing it. There's lots of positive feedback from people about processing times. Things seem to move faster after AOR.

Hello everyone! Just sharing my timeline in case it helps others:

• Application submitted (Quebec): March 2025
• AOR received: May 2025
• Biometrics completed: September 2025
• Moved to Ontario (address change confirmed by IRCC): June 2026

Since then, I haven't received any further updates. Hopefully, there will be some movement soon. Wishing everyone the best with their applications!

Hey guys, my dad received an email from IRCC CPC Mississauga today saying that his application is now in the queue for processing. They also mentioned submitting the requested documents from the June email about the required document checklist.


I’m a bit confused because we already uploaded all the required documents when we submitted the initial application, and there haven’t been any changes or updates to my dad’s information since then.


Just wondering what you guys did in this situation, did you re-upload everything you already submitted in the original application, or only provide new/updated documents if there were any?


I want to make sure we don’t miss anything and avoid any delays with his application. Thanks!

There is a lot of confusion right now regarding how to respond to this 30-day notice, and even immigration lawyers are giving conflicting advice. Some applicants are simply typing out an explanation directly in the web form. Others are reuploading updated official forms with new information about their travels, employment, or addresses, even if they had already reported some of those updates previously.

Meanwhile, some applicants who called IRCC were told by agents that the system doesn't show any formal request for document submission. Despite this contradiction, responding to the email within the 30-day window using one of these methods is definitely a smarter, safer move than ignoring it entirely.

I got the same email. It says if you already submittedcthem so no further action. It is a template swnding mass

seems like you and my dad application timeline about the same. yeah so confusing... will you just leave it or resubmit everything again even if there's no new update on your documents?

An acquaintance of mine applied for PR around the end of June 2025. Around mid-September, he received an acknowledgment letter with a temporary application number. He never received the AOR, but last month IRCC sent him a letter requesting updated documents. That letter included an application number starting with “G”. This suggests that IRCC was actively processing his application even though he never received an AOR. So, not receiving an AOR does not necessarily mean that IRCC is not processing your application.

My only concern now is I have a scheduled one week travel to Mexico at the end of next month.
Should I notify immediatly while replying the P1 email that I have this booked travel? Or reply it and when i get the p2, I call them and notify to put a temporary hold?
