Hi alberta has just 274 spots left for the alberta express entry priority steam which includes construction, aviation, manufacturing. I wanted to know if anyone thinks alberta will get more spots this year. Maybe in September? Or if they will pull some spots from their other streams into the priority stream. They started the year with 600 spots for this stream. Thanks in advance

Probably not as the quotas from the feds for 2026 are set. Alberta decides on the distribution between streams so can modify if they want. There are 4800 people in the priority stream pool.

But do you think they will? Either from other streams or from the federal.

Alberta is trying to decrease immigration and there is the AOS stream and they can draw from any NOC and there are over 20k in that pool. Feds will not change numbers unless Alberta takes more refugees. So don't count on it.

Please I need clarification . I did my masters in Ontario, I am working in Alberta as Chemical Process Operator (93100) . My company is a recycling company which their NAICS code is under recycling /whosales merchant. Am I eligible for Manufacturing priority stream after one year experience ?. Please I need quick answer to enable me make decisions either to go back to Ontario.

Just read the rules with your job offer. Also look at past draws and number of people in the pool. Your NOC and score have to selected.

I have read the information but I am still confused based on my company NAICS code . Does it apply to manufacturing as it is applied to accelerated tech . Also, does my NOC code 93100 eligible under manufacturing.
Alberta doesn't post what codes are under the streams so contact them but your employer should be in manufacturing. Call and ask.
