2025 PR Application Timeline (Protected Person)

My friend is February applicant. He has P1. We didn’t understand, he should answer the email or how he can provide information?

Pre arrival comes anytime after eligibility so it could still easily be a year or even longer before you get PR. Nobody knows at what pace they will hand out PRs (not just P1s) and they will hit 130k at some point and processing will slow down. I’m also curious to see what happens when the data comes out with a much higher annual PR number for 2026 versus the decrease to around 380k that the liberals have been stated all over the place. Should be closer to 500k which will be politically unpopular so the pace people receive PR may slow down in 2027. Lots of unknowns. Everyone will have gotten faster processing than they were scheduled to deceive without the 1 time policy. The other big issue is that family members are not supposed to be part of the one time policy so the backlog for family members will grow dramatically after all the primary applicants get PR.

I got my eligibility pdf attached by email during the morning and during the afternoon I got the ircc notification email and when I opened the website, my Pre arrival letter was there. So both same day.

when submitting the documents irrc requested for via email .There have veen some updates to my travel and Job so i am sending updated IMM 5562 IMM 0008
which option should I select for the ‘What application did you submit?’ field?” I applied for PR as protected person

We are in the same situation, nothing on portal that I linked the app with, and also I called IRCC about the email and they told me they did not request for anything but I still filled out all the forms listed in the checklist and submitted again via webform because they wrote that it should be done in 30 days, it’s just so confusing and they were also asking for police certificate which does not even apply to me
It feels like a generic checklist to everyone that applied in 2025 or something

yeah so confusing but the letter mentioned that only if there's an update or change in the orginal submission, so that means, if no changes then we dont need to re-submit the whole set of documents in the checklist right ?
