My minor dependent abroad just received pre arrival when can I expect a passport request?
I became PR in April

Is your country part of the pilot?
Before passport request need to submit medical . Did they request for medical to your dependent?

It’s not
However I made him do one upfront earlier last month.
Last couple of weeks I requested for an update
And response was that, was waiting for final decision
What ever that means
And then I got pre-arrival for dependent today

For my dependents, pre arrival was send next day I got ecopr.
Medical need to be done when they send the requested because they give a number (ime#).

His medicals was linked already to application
Medicals doesnot have to be requested for you to do one lol
There is something called upfront Medicals ,
And it saves Alot of time
Appointments are available in my country like a month from the day you book an one for medicals
I wasnot gonna sit and wait for a request just to spend another month waiting for it to be done.
Response to webform was waiting for officers final decision, do every other thing is complete

Just book with the panel physician and when you get there tell them the kind of application and mention it’s upfront
At the end of exams you get an e-sheet medical and you submit to IRCC, they will link to file
Can you please share dependents timeline with dates
I only had one request after my eligibility in march
Which was proof of relation etc
And then work up to pre arrival today
Does anyone know the answer to this question?
My son and I are dependants on my spouse's Permanent Residence (PR) application. My son is currently living overseas and attending college in the United States.
Does he need to return to his country of birth to complete his immigration medical examination, or can he have it done in the United States where he is currently studying?
Also, if I am visiting Canada at the time, would I be able to complete my medical examination there?
Any guidance or shared experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Maybe experts can answer this or someone who was in same situation
Logically it won’t matter as long as it’s an approved IRCC panel physician . Coz at the end of the day? They want the results.

I received biometrics request early March then received the dna request on May 7th. Haven’t heard anything after that. I’ll seen a request to the panel physician for upfront medical. I didn’t know it was ok to do that for refugees

All panel physicians do upfront Medicals
All you need is your UCI number and passport.
Medicals is Medicals , whether upfront or after it’s requested it’s same thing
It just saves the time of waiting between when it requested untill you get it done
My home country only has two approved panel physicians
So appointments are not easy to get .
I choosed upfront to avoid delays of waiting for a slot after it’s requested

Well , maybe is different for dependents outside canada. In the clinic where my family went, they requested for the ime #. We only had it when received the medical request.
In my country there is only one place to give medicals.
In fact, is better each person check for his/her personal case. My opinion maybe is not good reference for you.

All clinics request for imei , but
When you mention it’s upfront, they know exactly what to do
All was done out of Canada.
Did it for my baby and for parents supervisa and my parents have their supervisa already.
You don’t have to do it that way , but it’s possible everywhere.
