Hi, if applying for OCI card for self as former Indian citizen with Indian citizen spouse, if our marriage certificate is from Ontario and spouse's name is not on Indian passport, do we still need to have the marriage certificate apostilled? Confused as BLS toronto checklist does not mention this and I'm applying as a former Indian citizen for OCI.
Yes they do need any Canada documents apostilled and Marriage certificate is mandatory. For Apostle just walk into their office and they will do that in 1 hour.

Thanks, and the standard short form Ontario marriage certificate can be apostiled right? Don't need the long form I'm hoping

I have few questions related to OCI application and wanted to clarify:

1. I have this question"Have you/any member of your family applied for Overseas Citizen of India registration earlier? *
If Yes, give details". I need to answer "yes" to this. First input field says "Name / Relationship". However, it doesnt accept a slash or a comma. How do we enter this ?
2. Should we sign all the documents before uploading it online ?

Hi All, need some help please, i am preparing to apply for OCI (as previously indian citizen) for myself only, i have all other docs as per BLS checklist ready but i am confused about Marriage certificate (wife is a canadian citizen by birth and we do have a marriage certificate issued by Office of the Registrar General Ontario), reading posts here above is my understanding correct that i need to get the marriage certificate apostilled and how to get that done? (And is it same as getting it notarized by a registered notary)?,

Hi! Has someone availed bls premium lounge for oci services recently? I understand you just take the documents and they will do the rest.

I have 2 questions:

1. I already created my login account on oci website. Will they make me login into it?
2. some of my documents are digital only: citizenship certificate, copr, employment letter etc. Should i take a printout of these? The only problem is i have monochrome printer at home and consulate requests for original scans.

Thanks in advance for your help!
