I’m a March 2023 applicant, and my application has been under comprehensive security screening since July 2024. I previously lived in Saudi Arabia and already have a Saudi police clearance certificate. However, I did not submit it earlier because IRCC never requested it.

Would it be helpful if I submit the Saudi police clearance certificate now, even though it was not requested? Could it potentially help move the security screening process forward?
did you not see the option to upload the police certificate? also, you’re supposed to submit a PCC from any country where you lived for more than 6 months. you should have uploaded it. I hope you at least mentioned in your application that you lived in Saudi Arabia.

yes, i think you should submit it now through the IRCC webform. since you lived in Saudi Arabia for more than 6 months, the PCC is usually required anyway. It may help avoid delays later if the officer asks for it.

You usually have to reply within a week. if you get P1 email while you are out of Canada you can answer them with the name of the country you are in and when you will be back to Canada. The P1 email normally asks the applicant to provide the following information:

Welcome to the Permanent Resident Confirmation portal process. The attached PDF contains information regarding the confirmation portal process.
Next steps: In your reply to this email, fill in the information for yourself and for each member of your family. If you are not sure of the exact date(s) of your entries to Canada, you can provide your best estimate.
As the principal applicant, you will act on behalf of your dependents. If you would prefer your dependents to have their own accounts, please indicate so in your reply to this email.

Hey guys,
Just wondering, I have changes in my family, a child was born in 2023 and death of my father (he was not the claimant), shall I do it now or wait for p1 to come in and update it. I updated it when my first child was born but didn't update for second child. Will ut cause any delay if I update now or with p1?
Thank you.

you should update IRCC now instead of waiting for P1. a new child is an important family change and should be added before your PR is finalized. it may cause a small delay because IRCC could request extra documents(birth certificate, passport, photo, updated form, may be extra application fee) or medicals.

for your father’s death, since he was not part of the application, it’s less important, but you can still mention it in the webform.

This is my latest update .

Good, congratulations. Your file is moving.
You know, After my spouse received the bio request, he gave it and next day he received pre arrival. He is overseas.
It's good sign.

They were mentioned that PCP from Saudi is not required for people lived in Saudi Arabia

you do not need to submit PCC only if you lived there for less than 6 months. how long did you stay there? have you mentioned that you lived in/traveled to Saudi Arabia?

Hello, has anyone ever filed a Mandamus and was it successful?, or has anyone done a petition before and received a response from IRCC, are there any current petitions we can sign up for? I am a June 2023 applicant and haven’t received anything since eligible/pre-arrival.
