I have been tracking the data for a while, and based on published data and my statistical analysis, I found that IRCC issued only about 400 PR approvals for 2023 applicants and about 2,900 PR approvals for 2024 applicants. I have to admit that the 2024 applicants who said they received their PR were correct, and I was wrong to doubt them. I truly apologize to the 2024 applicants. I said that because I thought someone was playing with their feelings. It was hard for me to believe that IRCC would skip a year and a half, because that does not seem logical.
yes you are correct they gave 3000 pr approval to 2024 applicants i also checked it on ircc website
you can see previous data on that browser which you regulary use then switch to incognito,the updated date appears then take screenshot and compare
It shows the number of applications ahead of you. For 2023 applicants, the number decreased from 19,800 to 19,400, which means about 400 people received their PR. For 2024 applicants, the number decreased from 29,600 last month to 26,700 this month, which means about 2,900 people received their PR.
It is simple math. You only need to track the number of people in line and compare it with the previous month’s number. I recorded the numbers from last month and compared them with this month’s update. I am confident in the calculation because of my background in research and data analysis, but honestly, it is not complicated.”
I don’t understand why they stopped processing the 2023 applications.
I believe the non-complex cases pass faster. Not always true, but in 80% cases

Processing times updated and the number of people ahead of me hasn’t changed at all! What a clown show
The 2,900 decrease in 2024 may already include the ~400 from 2023 and even older applications, since the queue number is combined and not separated by application year. So this does not mean that 2,900 applicants from 2024 got PR as you wrote.
They did not issue any PRs for people who applied before 2023. The queue was 2,700 last month, and it did not change this month.
For 2023 applicants, only 400 people received PR. This number appears to be divided as follows: 100 in January, 0 in February, 100 in March, 100 in April, and 100 for the rest of the year.
For 2024 applicants, the number is 2,900 because I already subtracted the previous year’s data.
Honestly, I feel embarrassed for spending so much time tracking these numbers, but many of us are desperate. Some people have been waiting for more than 38 months. We have lived in Canada for more than eight years, have clean backgrounds, and still have to wait more than three years for a final decision.
I received the same request and my security checks got stuck after that for 14 months. I hope the situation won't be the same for you.
