Hello @Miss bee I have ordered the GCMS and in detailed GCMS notes it shows my security verification will be started on 01.05.2026. How long will it take? My medical and biometric was done on August 2025. PAL was on August 28, 2025. There is possibility that IRCC can issue the PPR before expiry of my medical or do i need to do again the medical as it will expire on August 2026
Those dates are not accurate dates . Those are based on timeline. Sometimes they start processing on your application part before or sometime after those dates .

Good afternoon @Miss bee - Does frequent request of GCMS notes and Webform slows down the processing by IRCC.
I overheard people saying such request causes friction as IRCC have to leave what they're doing on the application and attend to the request

I believe that's a myth - handling GCMS notes is in a different team's wheelhouse that has nothing to do with processing officers.

No—requesting GCMS notes or submitting a webform to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada does not slow down the processing of your application. These requests are handled by separate administrative or access-to-information teams, not the officers actively assessing your file, so they don’t “pull” an officer away from processing your case. GCMS notes are essentially a snapshot of your file at the time they’re generated, and webforms are routed to support channels that may add information or clarification to your application if needed. While sending excessive or repetitive webforms without new information isn’t useful—and may just result in generic replies—it doesn’t create friction that delays your application. The overall processing speed is driven by factors like background checks, workload distribution, and application complexity, not by how often you request updates.
