Applied July 2025 and received AOR in April

Yes my spouse were asked to fill up some froms and some other documents along with proof of relationship.

What was next after they asked your spouse for these info? What should I be expecting next ?

they haven't asked for anything else since my spouse submitted the forms and requested documents.
probably they will ask for Biometric next.

Oh okay, I thought maybe they won’t ask for our biometric cause we did it in end of 2024 for me and spouse both, cause my spouse is in country.

Next Friday will mark 7 months since I’ve been waiting for my permanent AOR. I received a temporary AOR (XG number) in December 2025.

When can I expect to receive the official AOR? Has anyone recently received theirs, and if so, when did you apply?

I am a single applicant living in Alberta.

I applied in Nov 2025. Got XG in Feb and waiting AOR

I applied September 03 2025
Temporary number 21st November 2025
Permanent number 07th May 2026
So 8 months from application to permanent number and 5 months from temp number to Permanent number.

i hope they request Biometric soon.

i hope they do. does your GCKey shows your biometric number , biometrics date and expiry date. Also have you checked your Biometric still valid?

My Gc key account i used to apply for my work permit extension shows my biometric still valid till February 2033 for temporary resident applications.So i believe i will be requested for another since this is a permanent residency application.

yes they may request another Biometric for PR application. if you want to check whether your Biometric is still valid, visit this link:

mine is expired the day i got Protected Person status.

Same mine is expired..So from Permanent number what are the next stages till PR card? And also I checked the processing time it says 12 months left for September 2025 applicant.Hopeful the Fasttrack process for 115k Protected persons is implemented.
