2025 PR Application Timeline (Protected Person)

If you want to check the status of your application you have to link the application in your gc key account.My time line is
Applied 24 july 2025
AOR 19 March 2026
almost exact sametime app submitted in april 2025 recieved letter with X in july i think and then submitted some additional info in dec. Then in feburary 26 recived letter to submit my info as im outside canada
OK. Already I have submitted everything to them on December 4 till now didn't receive any form them

I am a dependent included in my parents’ Canadian PR application under the Protected Person stream in Quebec. My parents applied on March 27, 2025, and they have already received their CSQ, but I have not received mine yet and am not sure about my status.
On January 16, 2026, I received the following letter from IRCC:
Application: Gxxxxxxxxx
UCI: xxxxxxxxx
Date: January 16, 2026
Dear [My Name],
Your name was included as a family member in an in-Canada application for permanent residence made by a protected person: [My Parents' Names].
For us to process this application, all family members who are not already Canadian citizens or permanent residents must also provide documents and information.
If your details have changed since you have provided the information, you are encouraged to supply us with the updated information, following the instructions contained in this letter.
I have submitted the requested documents as instructed.
I have a few questions and would really appreciate advice from those with experience:

- Does this letter mean my application is officially acknowledged and active by IRCC?
- Is this considered a good sign that my PR process is moving forward?
- What are the next steps for an overseas dependent like me? (biometrics, medical, CSQ, PPR, etc.)
- How long does it usually take after receiving this letter to get the next request or CSQ?
- Has anyone else in a similar situation received this letter and can share their timeline?

Finally, today I received the AOR, almost 8 months after I submitted my PR application (August 2025)..
I tried, and was able - after several attempts - to link my PR application to my GCKey!

Congrats. Can you please share me the trick to link the application to GCKey? It's been eight months since I started trying. No luck.
Hi. You need to enter the same information that you entered in your PR application. For me, because I moved from one city to another in ON, I forgot which city that I put in the PR application. This caused several failed attempts. Then, I tried to put the actual family members (including myself) in the PR application. This, too, returned several failed attempts (adding to the confusion about the city). Finally, I entered the application number (starting with G without X at the beginning), I entered the correct city and I entered 1 in the field of the number of family members, and it worked!
So, I think that you need to make sure of the information you enter (the combination of application number (without X) + UCI, or family name and date of birth etc.. then the correct answer as for where do you intend to live (province and city) and finally for the number of family members, you need to enter (1) only regardless the actual number of family members (including yourself)..
If this all does not work, it is better to call IRCC and they will walk you through to make sure that you are entering the same information matching that in your PR application.
