Showing as processing since I submitted my application. Nothing has changed.

April 24th 2023, last time security not started and still nothing in 2026 so far.....

Yes, exactly.
In my GCMS notes, security was still marked as Not Started, while criminality and information sharing were in progress at that time.
However, two days after the GCMS snapshot, my IRCC online account changed to “We are processing your background check.”
This suggests that internal background-related activities moved forward after the GCMS notes were generated. Since GCMS notes are only a point-in-time snapshot, they can lag behind real-time updates.
As you know, the IRCC account doesn’t show security separately, it only shows the overall background check, which includes criminality, info sharing, and security.

My criminality check it’s still in progress for almost 2 years when I searched about why they said it’s because of your fingerprint quality is poor

Yeah, I figured that out in GCMS note in criminality section
In terms of the fingerprint quality, I searched in Google and ChatGPT and they said it may be because of your fingerprint quality, but this is not an official information
I tried to reach them out ((IRCC)) and they said we don’t need anything from you if we need something we will let you know

PR Application submitted: April 8th, 2023
FD: Nov 20th, 2025
P1: Dec 18th, 2025
P2: Dec 23rd, 2025
Ecopr: Jan 27th, 2026

Currently waiting for PR card.
I really hope that everyone waiting receives good news soon, as I know how frustrating wait times for this process can be. Good luck to you all

I really don’t understand they said they will give PR to 115k people in 2 years, but they are still way too slow, just 4 months into 2023 applications. I think they won’t implement the one time initiative. Everything should’ve been faster.

I don’t know… I’m 2024 applicant and someone applied July 2024 got portal 1 already… Nothing makes sense

They declared they would implement it, they received funding from the budget for it, and they need to speed things up.

That is supposed to happen but you know is it true, anybody receive FD after that announcement. Please share if you about a person receiving decision this year.

I don't think they have started unfolding it yet, maybe (hopefully) they are still planning how to proceed (soon?)... and there is no way to know nothing that I know of...I so much wish to know for example if it is going to cover applicants based in QC (my case).

Normally it should cover applicants based in quebec. Because immigration process should be based federal law.

They needs massive approval if you wanna implement one time initative measures. They should clean backlogs.
