Not a single soul has received fd since the beginning of December. What’s with the wait?

I applied in August 2023. I applied a note in September showing that security had not started, info sharing and criminal in progress . I applied for another one on January 4th, and
a week later, the status was still the same not started.
Today, however, I finally received an update in my IRCC account showing that my security screening has started.

That is a super news. Im from August but the style of my ircc portal doesnt show any updates. Maybe because I applied online. I hope my file will move soon. But m happy that other person from August is moving on!

How many of the refugees are in this forum? do you think that we have a representative number ? maybe some people received but they are not reporting in this forum. Let´s think that and keep hope. We are close.

in IRCC account , you mean background check in progress? because there is no security there. only background check and does that represent security check? because mine also changed to background check in progress from not applicable in my IRCC account, please clarify if that is what you are talking about. thanks

Yes, exactly.
In my GCMS notes, security was still marked as Not Started, while criminality and information sharing were in progress at that time.
However, two days after the GCMS snapshot, my IRCC online account changed to “We are processing your background check.”
This suggests that internal background-related activities moved forward after the GCMS notes were generated. Since GCMS notes are only a point-in-time snapshot, they can lag behind real-time updates.
As you know, the IRCC account doesn’t show security separately, it only shows the overall background check, which includes criminality, info sharing, and security.

For me it says processing for my background check since I linked my application which was in November 2023.

Same for me. My portal is not good reference. Trust in the notes but as he said , the process could change after they sent the notes.
