I heard people talk about ghost update, not sure if that is my case. I logged in my tracker account and find out my eligibility changed from not started to in progress. The updated date on the upper right corner changed from December to the day before yesterday. Does this counts as ghost update? If yes then is it a good sign? I usually see people get the "ghost update" during the p1/p2 stage, while my BGV and eligibility seem not moving for months.

Ghost updates rarely mean anything and should be considered a noise.

Stop believing in this bs. IRCC has already tweeted about the date - clarifying that it has nothing to do with with your application and is rather a system/software update date.
Thx for clarifying. But when I see the gckey account I saw the application/profile updated, does this also consider as noise?
