I haven't applied for citizenship yet, but I was thinking to proactively give my fingerprints so that I can upload it right away in case it is requested. Do you think this would be acceptable to IRCC?
My biometrics from the PR application are still valid if that helps

Not worth the effort - not that many get asked for fingerprints - and may not prove possible to link to the citizenship application (don't know).

Adding to what @armoured said above, which is correct :

On one of the rcmp accredited fingerprinting services website, they state that they require you to bring along with you, the letter/email that you receive from ircc asking for fingerprints for citizenship application.

"If someone is applying for a citizenship application through immigration, refugees, and citizenship Canada for the Canadian (IRCC) citizenship application, then they must bring the letter which immigration, refugees, and citizenship Canada has provided them, containing IRCC file number, UCI, and IRCC address. This letter should have the address for third party results and should have the CIC file number, which will be included in your transaction. Please ensure this letter is available during the fingerprinting application session."

Without that Citizenship application number and letter requesting prints, which you get only after AOR, they can't link your prints to your file.
