what exactly is the point of you repeating information that is not only redundant but also perhaps demoralizing to people who are actually going through this process?
why is not responding in a thread ever an option for you when you clearly have nothing useful to add.
Congratulations on your family PR. Please I have a question. My family's file are in accra as well. I have gotten my eligibility passed and my pre-arrival services but nothing since then from my side. However, accra office asked for my wife's biometrics and the have asked for PCC, prove of marriage and relationship. Is this normal even though I have not gotten PR ?.
Also how long between when you got your eligibility passed before you got PR?
When your family file was transferred to ancara. At the time of pre arrival / eligibility. Or later . I got mine pre arrival but my kids file was not transferred to any visa office
Its accra not Ankara. They are different. Accra is in Ghana. I knew that they transfered the documents to accra because accra asked for her biometrics one month after my eligibility was passed
The same question is brought up over and over again so clearly people have not seen my other responses which is why I repeat answers. My answer wasn’t demoralizing it was pure facts. The pre-arrival letter is purely procedural and is not a good indicator of where you are in the processing timeline. I didn’t this time but also often criticize the government for the name of the letter because it confuses people and leads people to think that their final approval is imminent. The letter being issued automatically sometime after eligibility and that it is not an indication that final decision is imminent should be included as part of the letter in my opinion. This would alleviate a lot of confusion and heartache. The updated processing website is also a step in the right direction but I had been pointing out that the previous posted processing times were incorrect based on the IRCC data for a long time. I got a lot of negative feedback for that and accusations I didn’t know what I was talking about. At the same time people were complaining that they weren’t receiving a decision when they were expected one, had been planning for and had looking forward to based timeline. Being educated about immigration in Canada, knowing what to expect and approximately when, knowing that the previous governent made some huge errors when it came to immigration and that it will take 5-10 years to get back on track, etc. is a good thing. I am sure being stuck in a huge backlog is very difficult but I routinely also stress that focusing on something you can’t change is also not good. I routinely recommend that people not check their IRCC account as often as they do (multiple times daily, daily, many times weekly, etc.) and focus on things they do have control over like establishing their life in Canada and making their life better in Canada from meeting new people working on their career or education, etc. In general we are about the see some significant changes when to comes to Canadian immigration policy so trying to keep up with the news is also something that people can do. People can also get involved in politics (even if they won’t be able to vote for quite a while) or other group if they want to become more knowledgeable about immigration policy or see changes in Canada’s immigration policy going forward.
did you recive additional document request like marriage cert,pcc,proof of relationship?
Yes we did receive request for Biometrics, and marriage cert, and pcc etc. None for any form to be updated.
Unfortunately these requests were sent in March and August 2025 but to a wrong email address so I didn't receive them until a final reminder was sent in December in which my spouse was copied.
My application would have been denied just like that.
so when your spouse recived e-copr email then you got additional document request
you can call ircc for your application update
I recieved request for additional doc on 5/2025 ,, although my wife "pr applicant" didnt recieve copr or pr , and nthng till date , what could be next
