Yeah the same happened with me. My background was stuck for a long time. My medical expired, I did that again and then it passed. I applied in August 2023. Yes, I hope you start seeing some updates next year!
I haven’t been called for re medical. My medical also has expired and my eligibility not started I just hope they are working internally because 19 months of total silence is not even a joke
When your Medicals expired did it changed in the tracker or it was still showing completed. Because mine is still showing completed even after expired
My medical expired in May 2025 but was showing as still "completed" in the tracker after that so I wouldn't worry about this. After it expired I phoned IRCC to ask what would happen if the medical expired and they said just to wait for any further instructions. I got eCOPR earlier this month (after 21 months since my application back in Feb 2024) and they never asked me to do a re-medical, however this may be because although I was originally an Outland application, I have been in Canada for over a year. I'm not sure really.
Yes, that’s correct. Applicants living in Canada don’t have to re-do their medicals.
