I figured I've been lurking here long enough. I'd contribute my timeline here and hope that will ease the anxiety of some people:
Jan. 2024 Claim submmited
Jan. 2024 IRCC required additional document
Feb. 2024 Additional document submmited and AOC and notice of interview issued within 24 hours.
Mar. 2024 Attended the interview and received brown paper and work permit valid for 2 years on spot.
Sep. 2025 Notified by my lawyer that the hearting is set in Dec. 2025
Waiting and preparing for the hearing.
I am located in Western Canada.
I have a friend who lives in Toronto and submmited her claim in 2023. She is still waiting for a hearing date. I also know somebody in Montreal who got his claim approved without a hearing a couple months after he submmited his claim in 2024. So please don't panic if you haven't heard anything. Thing are not normal for everyone now.

Yesterday my lawer informed me that my hearing has been changed from short hearing to full day hearing. Today he informed me that my hearing postponed and will be rescheduled.
Any insight please?

Wow this is almost a 2+ years of waiting, getting a hearing actually becoming longer I guess…

Hi , Short hearing scheduled on Dec like you !! my lowyer sent e Mail told me it's postponed that's just today pls let's be on contact if there is anything new
How many days they must wait until tell us if there is new appointment or it's approved!
For me they postponed it afternoon and same day evening the send me approval. I hope you will get it
Thanks, the postponed it before 3 days for my hearing date. Check your hearing paper if it has NOTICE FOR MINISTER, that means IRB think approve your case without hearing. If the minister not ask questions.
Hi, I have the Notice for Minister on my first short hearing and they postponed it and said they will schedule a full day hearing
Ohhh in this case you will attend hearing, because if the short hearing change to regular hearing, that means the minister asked to intervention before 10 days of hearing. On this stage RPD will change your short hearing to regular hearing.Therefore be prepared very well.
