Okay - so you suggest to send the form and letter of explanation even if they haven't asked for it this time.

You made a mistake, so in order to show that you didn’t mean to mislead them you have to write down a letter to explain what happened.

As for the form, usually ircc asks for it when somebody misses a trip, to save yourself time, I suggest you do it, but review it carefully.

No harm in explaining that it was an honest mistake and you just realized it happened

I have the impression that in-person ceremonies are becoming more and more "standard procedure" once again. They have a back-in-office mandate, we're way past our COVID days, and unless the applicant is in a remote location, I think the chances of in-person ceremony are higher than before.
I also selected e-certificate and got in-person ceremony.

You know what? I'd LOVE an in-person ceremony hehehe. I even specifically requested it in my application (it's the only thing I mentioned, and I did not include any additional documents for my application at all) I hope they see how passionate I am for the in-person ceremony that they arrange it for me LOL. Let's see!

I think it depends on where you live. If there’s a service canada close to you they’ll book you for inperson. I wanted virtual but i had an inperson yesterday. Wasn’t bad. And refreshing to see others in the journey with everyone cheering you on.

Agree. Thanks!. I will everything by email to the agent who requested and also upload on the portal on web form.
Do errors like these delay the processing drastically ?

It depends, no one could say, but clearly they are trying to see if you are wrong or cbsa is wrong.


So if you come clean and explain, it shouldn’t be an issue especially when no days are getting reduced

There has been no movement since August 28th.

Has anyone experienced this "Grant interview ready" note? Will the interview necessarily happen? If yes, possibly when? Any information or insights will be helpful.

No, it varies from application to application. for a set of early aors in july it happened like you mentioned above

When should I expect the ceremony? I have a ticket on Dec 14 and was hoping not to change that

Checked the tracker today, all stages and steps are marked as completed.
However, I haven’t received any email yet. The Application History shows CT updated on Nov 6, and all other stages/checks completed on Nov 18.

I’ve noticed similar posts from others in the same situation. For those in a similar position, it seems the tracker is catching up. Yesterday, everything except the Background check was still in progress.

Now, just the Oath remains! Fingers crossed it happens soon.
