Hi, I completed my oath today and replied with the signed oath form. I never received my certificate download email before the ceremony. And I am unable to get IRCC Portal invitation code : "Sorry, we couldn’t create an invitation code for you. Invitation code not created: There was a technical issue."

Is this a problem? Has anyone heard of the certificate email being received after the ceremony?

I tried with another email and it gave me the invite code but for my email associated with application it returns that error :(
Maybe email address that sent you the invite and explain. They did say to us to contact them if there were glitches or issues with downloads.

For anybody else that faces this in the future, I received the ecertificate download email the day after the oath and was immediately able to signup, login and download my certificate. My journey is complete.

No new updates, whats happening. Has US shutdown shutdown the IRCC or what.
Argh! You're probably right actually.

Not technically (IRCC obvs. didn't shutdown because the US gov't shutdown) but rather - for those of us who have recent US travel prior to submitting the app, IRCC probably asked CBSA for records, and CBSA asked CBA. If it came in post-shutdown, CBA probably said "sorry not essential please wait" - assuming there's someone at CBA bothering to reply at all.

So IRCC is stuck and can't move the app forward until the US shutdown ends and CBA starts responding. If IRCC needs records from other US agencies like the FBI or DHS for some reason, same thing.

This is my own fault. I knew I shouldn't have taken that trip to NYC... thanks for helping me figure out why my app is taking so long though!
