Just got an email from my MP. IRCC told him that my decision will be ready after April 2027. Haha. What a clown show
They increased the processing time so they don’t have to answer to the MPs. It’ll be almost 4 years
No need to panic. On November 17th, the Liberals will pass the budget, and after that, they’ll start expediting processing for everyone. Over the next two years, every Protected Person should receive their PR. The current “99 months / 50 years / 10 years” numbers are just political and media figures, they mainly want to prioritize asylum claimants.
my mom is lebanese i used to have a residency there, expired now but i can renew it, should not be a problem for canada, as it was discussed in my hearing that i cannot get lebanese citizenship, i applied march 2024, in quebec, still has 53 months left on the processing times, that is why i want to travel before that time if possible to see family and friends
