I have a friend applied April 3rd 2023
After fingerprint received eligibility letter in July 11, 2024
Background check changes in between September 17th and October 1st in Canada.ca from not needed to under review
Received P1 in October 31st, 2025

The Liberals say they will also bring in a one-time measure to accelerate the permanent residency status of protected persons — those who have had their asylum claim approved by the Immigration and Refugee Board but are waiting for their residency status to be approved. My understanding they follow the target numbers bold one.

It looks like this years allocated limit for us was 27,000. Does anybody happen to know how many application approved in 2025 so far ?

Can someone explain last year quota for PR for protected person was 18000.how mouch the quota for 2026..onwards...increase or decrease.

If it’s similar to TR to PR in 2021, we need to stay alert to IRCC announcements because this will be temporary, and we might have to apply for it instead of receiving it automatically
