Hello

I always relied on this group whenever a confusion arises and I want to thank in advance for any resolution/suggestion provided.

I have my SOWP expiring on Nov 30, 2025 and my wife is currently on applied status for PGWP.

She has no Teer job at the moment and we are still looking around for opportunities. (Any workarounds, please help as too much of time/money was invested expecting a bright life and cannot go empty hands to restart everything)

Due to too much of research, now I got a basic question on eligibility requirements. Is spouse still eligible if the primary applicant has completed a PG diploma two year program (Not a master program) her course tenure was two years (Jan 2024 to Aug 2025)

I am under a notion that, I should still be eligible for SOWP if she gets a Teer job but one of the page in immigration website has lead me to this new confusion.

Thanks,
Sai

Hey Hi,
Thanks for the reply, I was asking for help towards any work arounds on how to continue further without a Teer offer. I know i had to either go on a visitor record or do some payroll alternatives which I would not like to take as an option due to ongoing immigration issues.

Anyways thanks for the help.

Lets see what the govt gonna say on Nov 4th

There are no work arounds to continue working if your PGWP spouse doesn't have an eligible job. If she doesn't have a job nor TEER 0/1 or eligible TEER 2/3 NOCs (trade/healthcare) then you cannot get a SOWP. You change status to visitor to keep status in Canada. Isn't November 4th the annual announcement for immigration targets and not changes to SOWPs.

Yea I understand its more about targets but they kinda mentioned they are going to announce the changes about temporary resident workers, PGWP etc, nothing is clear at the moment.
Anyways thanks for all the help
