Hi everyone,
I’m on a closed work permit under the Global Talent Stream (GTS). My LMIA and job offer list Calgary as the work location, but my work permit shows “Welland” — my previous residence

My employer’s immigration contact said it’s likely a clerical error, but I later noticed that my application form also they had mentioned Welland in the “intended work location” field. I’ve contacted them again for clarification, but I haven’t received a response yet. In my LMIA, it is clearly mentioned that my work location is Calgary. That's why I moved to Calgary while work permit was being processed. Previously I was on a PGWP.

I’m trying to understand:
  1. Will this require a simple correction or a new work permit (change of conditions)?
  2. Can I continue working in Calgary while this gets corrected?
  3. What’s the best way to fix this — web form, amendment request, or new application?

Would really appreciate advice from anyone who has faced a similar situation or knows how IRCC handles this kind of clerical error.

Thanks in advance!

1. Your employer needs to file to change conditions. Will depend on wage too.
2. You still should be working in Wellend and resident of Ontario.

Tell employer to read the link as this is their issue.

In positive LMIA letter, location of employment is mentioned as Calgary. But in my closed work permit they printed Welland which is my previous residence. That's what the confusion is.
