I am from Pakistan and I have recently received COPR. I'm planning to move to Canada next month. However, I don't know how to carry funds from Pakistan to Canada. You're only allowed to carry cash equivalent to 5000 USD from here. And the banks here don't do wire transfer to your personal account in banks in Canada. So my other option is doing wire transfer through Western union or other money exchanges to my personal bank account. I wanted to know whether is this a safe option? Also can I open more than one account in Canada? Also is this possible if I carry only 5000 USD now and tell the immigration officer that I'll bring more cash later on. If this is possible what proofs do I need to show them. And if it's in the form of bank statements, do the statements from my home country will work or not?

Yes, you can open more than 1 account in Canada. You can bring $5000 now and more later. Bring your PK bank statements.
