I submitted my application and my Spouse's as a group on the 11th September. However, After submitting my spouse got an email saying her invite to group is declined. But both our applications are submitted successfully.

Is this something to worry or shall I wait until getting the AOR to contact IRCC?

if you see that all applications are submitted successfully here https://citapply-citdemande.apps.cic.gc.ca/en/successful-submission i wouldnt worry, but you can ask through webform maybe?

Hi all, I need guidance. I became a PR in august 2023 and now eligible for citizenship, however my passport expired in May 2024. I did not renew because I am not traveling out of Canada. Do I renew it before I send my application?

You can use your PR card and any other provincial ID as the photo identification. you do not need to have a renewed passport according my personal findings preparing for my application.

Hi everyone!
I know it's not September just yet, but I'm really excited to start the process of applying for my citizenship and wanted to open this thread early to connect with others planning to apply in September 2025.

I also have a question about calculating physical presence. I was an international student for one year and finished my studies in June. My study permit was valid until September 30, and I applied for my PGWP right after graduating. While waiting for approval (which I received in December), I was under implied status. I'm unsure whether I should count that period as a student or a worker when filling out the physical presence calculator.

If anyone has experience with this situation or advice, I’d really appreciate it! And of course, feel free to share your timelines, questions, or just say hi. Let’s support each other through this journey!

What did you end up doing regarding the implied status and are you using the days from your temporary residence or do you have enough days as a PR ?
