Hello Everyone. I want to apply for OCI but unable to fill form 7 online. I go to fill form 7 overseas, select state, select AC, First name, Select Part, Serial No. I fill all this and then 0 record found and the form is grayed out. I cannot enter anything. Please help. Thank you

Hi, I'm applying for OCI, but i'm self employed driving Uber. And uber doesn't provide job/employment letter. I've sent email to consulate and they replied i need a detailed letter explaining that and also my pay-stubs. Whats should i include in the letter? Also, i'm not a regular driver so paystubs won't be possible.

Require guidance from you guys from my OCI application (details below). I am seeing some of the OCI applications mentioned on this thread which were already approved and they applied later then my submission date and they received the OCI or their application has been processed and mine still showing under process at both BLS and High commission.
Is HCI Ottawa OCI timings are longer than as compared to Toronto ?

Hi, i've just got a reply from OCI, this is what they said:
"You will have to state your employment and give us the bank statement that would corroborate your stance".
Why do they need my bank statement for?
The bank statement, along with other financial documents, helps confirm that the applicant's primary purpose for visiting is what they claim—for example, a tourist with funds for travel, or a student with funds for tuition and living expenses. The goal is to prevent a foreign national from becoming a financial burden on the Indian state or needing assistance from their home embassy while in India. By requesting proof of funds, the Indian government aims to ensure that applicant enough money to survive on their own.

1. In Registration Form (Page-I), There is a Optional field "National Identity Number". Can I leave this blank?
2. There is another Optional field, "Previous Passport Number", should I leave this blank or enter Previously Cancelled Indian Passport Number?
3. I am self-employed, so can I just take a copy of my Articles of Incorporation Documents?

The OCI portal says under process, but on BLS tracking, it shows my wrong date of birth. Do I need to worry about it, as it shows the wrong date of birth on the BLS portal?

2. Its for Canadian Passport not Indian one. So leave blank.
