i can agree to this, my application was passed around several times actually. When i got AOR i called hotline and they said it's (PVO)sydney/(SVO)ottawa. Then when i didnt receive any updates as most august 2024 applicants did for medical, i called again and they said it is etobicoke/ottawa. When my medical and background check got completed in tracker but not in gckey, i called again and it was etobicoke/montreal. When I got issued copr details in tracker but still no updates in gckey, i called again and it is sydney/montreal.When your IRCC file shows PVO (Primary Visa Office) as Vancouver and SVO (Secondary Visa Office) as Montreal—after previously being Sydney and Ottawa—that shift is usually administrative and not necessarily meaningful about whether things will speed up or slow down. They can change visa office due to various reasons like
Workload Distribution: IRCC reallocates files between offices to efficiently manage processing volumes.Administrative Adjustments: Could be due to structural changes, staffing, or system optimizations. No Indicator of Delay: A shift in offices isn’t typically a sign of trouble or delay, just an internal re-routing.
For your case
Not necessarily a bad sign. The change doesn’t imply that your processing will take longer—it’s just a different office handling your case.
- Timing still depends on program and complexity. For example, if you’re under the Canadian Experience Class (CEC), timelines still largely depend on your application details, your date of AOR (Acknowledgement of Receipt), medicals, or any background/security checks.
- If your medical is passed and there are no flags, things often proceed normally.
Thank you for reassuring! Since you mentioned that your background check and medical did not get updated in GC key, I have the same issue. May I ask how long did it take for you to get FD after the background check complete status in the tracker? And were you only able to see COPR details in the tracker after you got FD?i can agree to this, my application was passed around several times actually. Thanks again!
Understood, thank you for your response!my application tracker shows biometrics, medical and background check completed and eligibility not started. On my gckey, it says they will send me a message once final decision has been made.. but i already have COPR details (is this eCOPR? im not sure, most likely not..) in the tracker and received P1 email.. so i don't have FD yet, im not sure when it will be done for me.. hopefully soon..
It should be written on the letter you got that why are they asking additional $130.Hello everyone, I applied for a closed work permit while I wait for my PR application to be processed through the non-express entry stream. The employer paid the $230 fee, and I submitted a screenshot of the payment confirmation with my application. Now I received an update requesting an additional payment of $130. Would anyone know what this could be about?
@Miss bee , Can you help please?
@Miss bee They said remaining payment for employer compliance fee, but was already paid $230.It should be written on the letter you got that why are they asking additional $130.
Ohh . Probably an error. You can send same receipt again through webform or you can upload it to your GCKEY account.@Miss bee They said remaining payment for employer compliance fee, but was already paid $230.
If there is no tab to upload , send it through webform.@Miss bee I have ADR. How to upload the document. They mentioned in the letter to upload in IRC secure account. But I can't see any option to upload the additional documents requested.
