You should not have any problem i went to dominicon on RTD WITHOUT PR no questions askAnyone go to Cuba?
I read on another thread it’s visa free with RTD, but some debate about whether you need PR or not.
Consulate and embassy weren’t very helpful when I emailed.
I’ve gathered the process is the same as Canadian passport holders - on the flight they give out tourist card forms you hand to immigration officials in Cuba, sometimes they ask for PR sometimes they don’t but if you say no you have status in Canada as a protected person that should be sufficient?
Same when returning to Canada - a gate agent may ask for PR but you just explain you don’t have PR, but are permitted to re-enter with your RTD and have status as a protected person?
Can anyone confirm this is the case?
I did for a couple of times. No issue. they do not even ask you about your status. Lately they do not provide visa as it is not required flight from Canada. You just make sure you signed the first page of your travel document where it says you should be in order to use that travel document(this was something Air canada crew wanted me to do in the first time)Anyone go to Cuba?
