I renewed my parents visitor record 4 times so it is definitely possible. Issue is not about OWP but about no status. Maintaining status is applicant’s responsibility regardless of the inconvenience and I am sure this is something that IRCC can question too. Hope it works out for the person

They lost status in 2020. It used to be ridiculously easy to extend visitor status for close family members but that has also become much more difficult. We are seeing many parents get their visitor extensions refused as Canada seeks to decrease the number of temporary residents and to ensure that parents are not attempting to permanently move to Canada on visitor visas. Assume you may have also applied to extend during Covid when approvals were also much easier. If you are an individual without status and no reason to be in Canada then it is much harder to remain as a visitor longterm especially for 5 years.

Hello, I'd like to ask, if on Permanent residence application portal, my application status still shows "Submitted" and the Status last updated date is still the date of submission, does it mean my application has not been reviewed?
I have got AIP and PR application everything is passed except security. Mine is still showing submitted. That status means nothing if you want actual status request GCMS notes.
The timeline is not necessarily until PR. It is to process and review H&C claim itself so with PR it can very well exceed that and it usually does. I am just past 24 months too.
You might as well withdraw it. Claiming oppression from the Hindus in Punjab wont cut it.
honestly waiting is the most worse part of the game and its really hurtful, from what i experienced the immigration system for US and Canada has the quite worsen immigrant levels plan and project because i been faced immigration process for several countries in the past decade non of them like US and Canada system is totally messed up, other countries that i filed immigration with them the processing application was super fast.
bud this is one of the broken system, this portal is only for submitting applications and the status over there will never change to in prorocess or complete , guess what even if you get eCOPR or PR Card this stupid portal remain as submitted will nothing changed.
what is the timeframe for GCMS notes in the past 2 moth ? anyone got ATIP notes the one paid $5 how many days waiting timeline ?
When did you apply for them? im at over 40 days now. Apparently 31-60 days is the norm currently
