It’s been such a long, difficult and exhausting journey for our family but my husband has finally received the good news. He has received his COPR!! Just 1 more final step to finalize his PR to get his card.

He had completed his medical end of May and we just received the good news today!!!!

Did you apply for a JR during the process ? Did you have any problems regarding security and criminality ?

Hi which office process H&C applications faster ? The Vancouver office or the Niagara office ??

There is no faster office and you can’t select your office. Applications can move to different offices during processing as well. Unless there are reforms you are likely looking at many years just to get an answer about whether your application is refused or approved and you receive AIP. H&C also does not prevent removal. When does your WP expire? You should be exploring other options.

I am pretty sure you have to apply to restore your status first if it is within 90 days but if you are beyond that it make things complicated because H&C application doesn’t give you implied status. Question is why did you not renew your status because that is one way to ruin your good case.

Very unlikely to be able to keep on extending visitor record for 5 years even if was an option. Once you receive AIP you are able to qualify for an OWP.
