Hi,

I applied for a Canada visitor visa on July 23rd. Completed my biometrics on 28th. I was going through the forums after and found about many rejection cases. I was wondering if I need to provide any additional documents or details to strengthen my visa.

I am planning to visit my brother and sister-in-law for this christmas and stay with them for 2 weeks . I have applied from UK as I work here as a software engineer. Its a well paid job and I have been working here for the past 2.5 years. I know the processing times are long especially from UK, but I have also read about visas getting approved in 1-2 months for many. So, I am staying optimistic.

I am an Indian citizen (not married). My parents are in India and I have no ties in UK other than my job.

Previous travel history (in 10 years) : Visited Germany -Last year and Visited Kuwait in 2017
Submitted documents : Bank statements for last 4 months with enough money to cover my 2 weeks stay (I will be staying at my brother's place which is mentioned in the invitation letter)
Payslips last 4 months
Cover letter and invitation letter explaining I will return to UK as I have to resume my work
Travel Insurance to cover unexpected expenses
Details of person inviting me (my sister-in-law as my brothers PR application is in progress)
Letter from employer
My UK visa
Do you think I need to provide documents to prove my relationship with the invitee and more ties to home country ? Any suggestion on what I can add to show strong ties?

2 weeks stay is quite a long time, you should have pretty much enough money.

The fact that you will be staying at your brother's place doesn't reduce a funds requirement.

From what I see you have more ties in Canada which might be an issue.

When does your WP end?

Your docs look solid, but yes — add proof of your relationship with your brother (birth certificate or similar) and any ties to India like property or family responsibilities. These strengthen your intent to return. You’re on the right track — stay positive!
